3-5k depending on how much you can do yourself and thats for a sensible 100WHP upgrade with appropriate clutch, brakes and suspension. Drive in drive out about 5k for a proven conversion (Turbo only).

Have to disagree jamo. At no point was there anything worth taking on board. I make very good money, have the privilege of owning a few nice cars and a collection of bikes. I don't go to the pub much, I don't wear fancy clothes or pretend to be something I am not (born and bred council boy) and idiots like her think someone like me is flaunting my wealth by having nice things that I can afford. Blatant flaunting such as wearing 100 pound pair of jeans carrying your newest phone out for the world to see. Does that deserve to be robbed. Not trying to start an argument but people with such narrow mindedness and jealousy should be removed from the gene pool.

Lol. With love Matt. Or should that still be inspected.

Forgot to add. Got some nice bbs forged wheels in 16" that need a little love and the centres machined out so wheels getting changed in the near future along with the bilstein kit.

Well today was the first time in over a year the VR6 has moved. Fitted a new clutch slave and master cylinder, bled up in 2 mins and all is good.washed the green off the car and infected it for everything it will need for an mot. Luckily just looking like 2 tyres and a rear wiper blade. Master cylinder though was not the exact same. Plunger, orientation and pipe work including bleed nipple was. But the mounting holes were 6 mm through holes instead of 8mm threaded for studs. So a couple of 6mm 8.8 bolts, larger washers and some nylon nuts and a bit of help from the wife and it was bolted up in about 15 mins. Drove the car back and forward on the drive, brakes are free with working hand brake. Oh the only other things that have taken a turn for the worse is the roof mouldings have finally perished and starting to fall apart and a few of the stone chips around the car have started to have a little surface rust. So need to treat and tidy those up. So plans are to get it mot'd next week and start using it again.

I will take that part number boss. Will look at getting one from a breakers possibly. My mechanism broke last year. Still not got around to fix it. Failing a replacement I will need to source the genuine parts.

Looks like a nice fit for the sunroof. So mk2 Ibiza and Polo roofs are the same? James you got a part number there.

Yep, 3m tape that is used when polishing is a good compromise to protect for marring and swirls. Or go to a local wrap company and have it carefully wrapped.

I will give a thumbs on on the F1's as well. Second set on my misses's A3 3.2 and they offer good grip and decent longevity for a reasonable price. Think I was getting them for 73 quid each of Oponeo.

Well I hire cars abroad about 4-6 months a year. In 14 years of travelling I have never had Europcar, Avis, Hertz or any independent car hire company ask for my counterpart. One thing you can do is get yourself one of these http://www.postoffice.co.uk/international-driving-permit

Alright ladies and gents. Went to try and drive the vr this morning for the first time since last August. Started first turn and let it warm up. Went to select a gear to drive it forward and no joy. Just unable to select a gear. Had issues before with stiff selection and bled the clutch which seemed to fix it at the time. So thinking the clutch slave cylinder is on its way or done so to speak. I have had a long around the net for a new part but to no joy.pedal does come back up but doesn't feel right in terms of resistance. Anyone know where to get one or a service kit to replace the seals etc.

Down in Ayr myself. There is a good few members from the surrounding area. What about yourself.

Welcome Clarkie. Good to see another potential Ayrshire lad with a corrado.

26mph over the speed limit is a court appearance I thought. So typically 6 points and a 2-400 quid fine.

Welcome to the club ash.

Nice little edit. As a motorsport videographer myself it is a tidy bit of clever editing to give the impression of speed. I do the same regularly with road bike edits to give the impression of super fast riding.

I usually run both cars. Now modern cars are perfect, more comfortable, reliable, quiet and faster but you don't get the same buzz unless you spend lots of cash. I have an American v8 pickup with tons of power, dsg 3.2 audi and the vr6 corrado. Vr6 wins every time for fun factor, audi for day to day faultless driving and the pickup for a second car.
