using a proper brake pipe spanner realy makes life easier,they are all pretty easy to change,except for 1 on the brake compensator,which is about 2 inches long

Weitec still operate using there name,as do kw,you say you have a key to change the settings on top of the struts,has it got anything like a + or - on it at all?

places like c&r enterprises sell the mk4 calipers and relevent hoses as a kit,i would imagine stealth would be able to sort you out aswell

on ebay you will get around £20 for it,on here you will get next to nothing because 1,the contents will be of no use and 2,you can get ones that fit from vag and even aldi for a fiver

it would be an ideal time for tim styles to buy it back at a knockdown price and rebuild his good reputation

if you want them stretched then you will need to go for something like 185 or 195's

theres a company called cool lourves(or something like that)that actually presses the vents into your wing rather than cut and weld

have you had it resprayed already?some body shops will ask you to bring it back to them after a couple of weeks for them to give it a once over with a buffer to remove any overspray etc..but not all places would do that,and it depends what paint they are using,although it may of been baked in an oven the paint will still be soft underneath

He was just saying whats going on in the aircooled scene. My bro is restoring a '62 double-door panel at the mo, and my mate runs a 1641 aircooled bay. I'm not a fan of subura plants, prefer the OE+ street rod approach but its a fact that people go for subaru motors cos its more bang for your bucks. Plus you'll need a large bore motor before rebuilding and slapping a turbo on, so if you start off with a 1200 bus you'll need to pay out more than £1200 as you need a high capacity motor. well it was certainly implied eh? quite a few vw camper drivers are dumping the vw air cooled motors for subaru engines now,at least 4 aircooled campers had blown motors at deva dubs last weekend

umm that could well happen to your 24v!!

the caliper carrier bolts will always be in stock,unlike the carrier to hub bolts which you need to source yourself..

you can do pretty much all of that yourself,just get a polishing kit from somewhere like frosts

you get mixed results with the chips away etc companies..it depends on how good the person that doing the job

although thatcham have declassified the alarm..it still is a cat1 alarm,and my certificate was issued through my local dealer even though my car was originally bought in sunderland..so they must keep copies
