1. Must be a short circuit somewhere, i guess you'lll have to trace the loom back towards the switch. :( Good luck.
2. Tee hee, Beemer driver still comes over as a bit of a cock!
3. I wouldn't think so there's very little clearance. I've got one in the passenger footwell, raised the floor at little and tucked the carpet round the edges, there's that much room no-one has ever noticed or at least commented. Even with the seat fully forward you don't notice and with mats fitted the carpet tuck doesn't really show. It's never overheated and wiring it is a doddle cos there's a large gommet in the middle of the footwell in the bulkhead that you can run you cables from the battery straight through
4. Has anyone found a better price for tappets than AVS Car Parts @ £4.96 ea + VAT??? They're FEBI ones which I take it are OK?
5. They have at least one thing right in the Middle East - cut their thieving hands off :bad-words:
6. This is the e-mail I got today, During last week, there were SPECS (average speed) cameras erected on the QE2 "Dartford" Bridge in Essex/Kent. They start just before the bridge and end before the tolls at the end. If you have driven by and not seen them last week, it's because they are mounted on a road gantry rather than on the normal yellow or blue poles. Pictures here: http://btst.co.uk/QE2BridgeCameras/ (from 2 different spotters so that we got all the cameras) Often there is a big delay between the cameras being put up and actually going live, but our source tells us they are going live this week. 4/5/09 The SPECS area on the other side of the road is also being extended but we understand that the extra cameras haven't been cabled in yet. There are also cameras in the Dartford tunnel (kent into essex)so be careful. ********************************************************************************************************
7. Just got informed of new average speed cameras on the QE2 bridge at Dartford and the 50 mph lead-up to it where very few people stick to the limit > cough! I thought people might like to know about it CLICKY! They already have them the other side.
8. You can see the difference in looms in the pics at the bottom of THIS PAGE
9. Hit the URL Button above the typing box and you'll get '' come up. All you do then is add '=YOUR LINK' inside the first bracket, thus....... and then you can put your text between the two bracketed 'url's' thus Renson's link So now you can click ......Renson's link Hope that's not too Noddy a set of instructions. :salute:
10. One of the commonest things people say to me about the corrado, after 'Is it a VR6?' ......is that it still looks good!
11. Not that he's got previous
12. It's in the owners manual too
13. It really is the Dogs! 8)
14. Best bet for an accurate look at what you've achieved would be a before and after run on the same rolling road.
15. There is a piece of ducting that runs from the centre vents down to the back of the air distribution box that's attached by two plastic hex nuts one each side (both undertrays out  ), the sealing foam may disintegrate as you ease it off but you should have room between the duct and the center console to do this. 8)

17. Ah yes! To get to the third cable for the screen you'll need to remove the driver's undertray and the plastic panel alongside the air ditribution box in the first picture. climatronic wiring-Golf from May 01.pdfscreen flap accuator (6) crop.JPG[/attachment:r8c6uy3n]2.8l 24v Climatronic system.pdfscreen flap accuator (1) crop.JPG[/attachment:r8c6uy3n] screen flap accuator (3) crop.JPG[/attachment:r8c6uy3n] Enjoy, let me know how you get on, mine may need some attention too.
18. Ahhh, I don't have ABS sorry!!!!
19. Hmmmm wasn't considering 'off' as a position, in my defense i was probably sleepy! Sorry!
20. What? You want to put 300mm discs on the rear to make it look even with the fronts? They'll just lock up on you!
21. Sorry mate our switches are only two position so it's back to the drawing board I'm afraid.
22. What Supercharged said all the other stuff is total cack, the Loctite mesh activated adhesive is the Dog's danglers, works everytime.... as long as you clean the screen correctly!!
23. I've just had a look at mine as all the undertrays are still out and the cable for the directional control goes to the middle of the bottom of the air distribution box. Probably best accessed from the passenger side, that way you can pop out the duct across the passenger footwell and get your hand in to lube the flap :norty: 8)
