I have hunted high and low for a badge. For many moons! Watched them go for silly daft money as there are like hens teeth. This is a Golf badge i sent for off ebay. i was told it was a Corrado badge but alas it was a golf so instead of it stuck in the garage i made it fit screwed on as well. The Golf badge is quite a bit larger as mentioned and the plastic fixing tags are a million miles away from the ones on the grill. Here are some pics of it fitted, but tbh i;m not quite sure if it looks ok or not. See what you guys think. :shrug: While we are on the subject of badges. My son has just bought a 3D printer. I'm looking into a way to produce the corrado Vr6 badge. We are working on a 3D scanner which scans all the shape and size of the subject item / Badge. Then look into producing the software and then print them off. We are still in the early stages of testing, atm so fingers crossed. You never know!! :bonk: Candle Wax Method: Rub an (unlit) candle up and down the teeth on both sides of your stuck zipper. The wax from the candle should help the zipper glide back into place. I recommend using a natural colored candle, since the wax from a colored candle could rub off on your boots/purse/zippered jacket and stain the material. Beeswax Lip Balm Method: Rub a clear-colored, beeswax lip balm stick (cherry colored lip balm could stain!) up and down the teeth on both sides of your stuck zipper. If you have beeswax lip balm in a pot, that will work too. Just stick a cotton swab in the pot and rub it up and down the teeth on both sides your stuck zipper. Graphite Pencil Method: Rub the pencil tip from a traditional (non-mechanical) graphite pencil up and down the teeth on both sides your stuck zipper. I’ve found that this method works best on stuck metal zippers rather than stuck plastic zippers. Crayon Method: Rub a crayon up and down the teeth of both sides your stuck zipper. Use a crayon the same color as the fabric the zipper is attached to in case any rubs off on it. Bar of Soap Method: Rub a bar of soap up and down the teeth of both sides your stuck zipper. Use a translucent or natural-colored bar of soap to help prevent staining. Windex Method: Of all the methods listed above, the Windex method is the most heavy-duty method. If you’re lucky, it will help unstick your very stuck zipper that wouldn’t even budge with the other methods. First, spot-test the fabric surrounding the stuck zipper to see if it is damaged or stained by the Windex. If all is good to go, soak the fabric surrounding the zipper with Windex and then very slowly pull the zipper in the “un-zip” direction. You will need to pull down the zipper in increments. Each time you pull on the zipper, maintain tension on the zipper and try to pull it just past the point where you think it won’t go. Relax your grip and then repeat this process until you have worked your way all the way down the zipper. Note: With all of these methods, you should spot-test the fabric first to make sure the candle wax/bar of soap/beeswax lip balm/etc. does not damage the fabric surrounding the zipper. You can either do it with sol-vol auto-sol, and plenty of elbow grease or buy a polishing kit with different polish bars and mops which is done with a electric drill, google it. I polished a Full Honda CB900 engine casings with the mop and polish way. TBH this does the job a lot better but is a bit time consuming but the results are good. My car is a 1995, and thinking about it will be almost 56 mph, only 4 mph off 60 anyway. it was the 45 mph that got me thinking. Edit: DPS, thats a quality idea sticker under the spoiler they may be a market for such a thing.hmm.:thumbleft:

My spoiler comes up at 60mph, it was posted on here in a earlier post that it came up at 45mph. Which one is correct? Spoiler then goes back down at around 10mph. Dunno if this is right?

Just had a quote with Prestige. 3 years no claims, waited for operator to get back from under-righters. Came back with £287.26 with £500 excess. or £359. with £250 excess. Through Chaucer insurance. They will not do a agreed value until they have seen 6 photo's of the car, then they might give me the agreed value. Quoted the forum also. Will be waiting for my renewal price from Adrian Flux. Will update the post here when i have the price.

Agree with Mr Bacon, for this price i would expect the car to be in tip top condition, it mentioned the word rust? and would benefit from a proper respray. What for this price, or is this me being just a bit fiddly?

Car does look good. Spot on the paint job. As to your question about lowering the car. You have a lot of miles to cover so if it was me i would either opt for lowering springs or just run with the standard set up for reliability, but thats me Mr cautious.:!:

This is true i get it a lot also. Like when waiting at traffic lights, other cars looking and pedestrians doing the same. Once i went down a dual carridge way and was in front of a lesser car a Aston Martin DB9, (which was tbh very nice), when we had to stop for the roundabout the lady in the DB9 was pointing at the spolier going down and smiling probalby saying why hav'nt we got one of those? to her bloke. :shrug: :smug::smug:

I would go with the balancing of the wheels first as Jon says. Also double check the work done under the car for loose bolts etc, you never know.

I would have thought in the direction of the rotation of the engine when the belt is fitted? or could i be wrong?
