I only £19.99 each for complete lupo gti wiper n arm from my local stealers... bonus!
-
haha.... classic movie tho!
-
Will 'Him' be watching it AJ?
-
heard about em..... in reality i'm told they just don't have enough 'muscle' to really do anything noticeable
-
I got right grief from some scottish robot woman at direct line when I told em I fitted by miltek.. never going with them ever again..... ever!!
-
anyone had any joy? .... Does anyone know how much a spoiler controller costs from the stealers?
-
I was thinkin eventually about going the Mercedes 230 Kompressor route.. would this flow enough?? Or mayb a couple of the Eaton M45 Mini chargers?? .... Is it always best to fit lower compression pistons?
-
that was a subaru??? Always thought it was a Corolla Apex GT or whatever the Jap special ones are called
-
It was fitted by AMD.. need I say anymore?
-
Bahn Brenner do a sports CAT for £130 notes ( I think thats what it works out to )... As for Miltek systems, looks good, sounds good, don't fit too good.... I've had to make up all new mounts out of box section to stop it crashing about... and my car isn't lowered!
-
cheers, thinkin of tryin a new one tho.. bought a 2nd hand one and its made bugger all difference, but to be honest I don't know if that unit did ever work and I think I've exhaust every other possible cause!
-
mine still refuses to budge..... any1 know how much a spoiler controller is from the stealers?
-
is there anyway of testing the spoiler controller when its out of the car?? I can connect a 12v battery across it, but i'm not if the resistance is supposed to change or not
-
ok, I'll take another look behind the dash over the weekend..... went into the stealers earlier to see if they had any idea.. The replies were quite humorous.. "I didn't even know the corrado had a auto spoiler!" followed by the other 'technician' "When I used to drive the corrados, I never used to bother with the spoiler" ..... if its automatic, then you don't bother with it do you?? Bloody cretins
-
wow, I do hope you just cut and pasted all that info!! But a big thanks, next question then, being as the speed sensor is the only thing I haven't checked, dya know where *precisely* is lives and what it looks like?? I can't seem to see anything like that behind the dash.. but then the wiring is a complete birdsnest
-
RIght, just taken the cluster out again...... erm, all I have in there are the clump of white wires (and a few colours) going into that fat multiplug.. should there not be some kinda speedo cable?? Or this vacuum pipe I hear so much about??!?! ...... my speedo does work.. dunno how accurately..... Its a '94 VR6 btw
-
Cheers for that... the US spec seems the same as Euro.... If you follow the blue/black wire from the spoiler controller, it says at the end T1g, T1h etc.. what does this mean?
-
Yeah, that'd be really helpful and much appreciated
-
a photo would do!!... I've got tonnes of lose wires in the fusebox, but I dunno if they were for options that the car hasn't got
-
hmmmm.. I've had the instruments out.. to be honest all I could spot were a bunch of white wires, don't recall seeing anything else obvious.... I was lead to believe the speed lives on the fusebox.. but if it were faulty, then the speedo wouldn't work either!!! Its so confusing and annoying!
-
ok, well here's what I've discovered so far... The controller lives above the fuse box, behind the dash, to the right of the steering wheel (RHD), black box about the size of a tobacco tin (old skool).. The manual switch feeds directly into this.. blue/white wire up vertical lift, green/white for spoiler descent and a brown negative/earth. Then there are green and yellow wires that run from the controller to the rear spoiler.. these change colour towards the rear of the car. There is a white/blue wire that runs to the stereo.. apparently this is the one that causes a lot of problems, but not in my instance because i cut it off and still no joy. Finally there is a another brown wire (negative/earth) that commons up with the other brown wire and a seperate black/blue wire.... this is the one that is I guess causing our problems!! I know it goes direct to the fusebox on my '94 VR, as does one of the earth/negative wires. I get a constant 13volts across this wire.. its the only one that would seem to control the controller, if that makes sense, but I can't work out, and no one else would seem to know, precisely what this wire does when it gets the fusebox. If you do have any joy, can you let me know!!! :(
-
I have exactly this problem.... so frustrating isn't it
-
har-har.... Does anyone know which relay?
-
right... using the trusty voltmeter, I get a worthy 13.70v between the blue/black and the earth.. is this supposed to change with speed? Does anyone actually know what causes the spoiler to lift?
-
..it certainly would be by now if it were alive.. I know the black/blue wire runs from/to the controller from the fusebox, but what does it do in there? I.e. is there a relay for it?? Please, don't put the 'check the blue/white wire'.. I have completely ruled that out.. exnay on the stereo! Cheers
