Chappy there says I'd need either a remap.. or some kinda pressure regulator fed to the injectors..... think that's what he was on about anyways.. not sure if I'm gonna bother doing it tho.. currently getting 29mpg!!! Oh and I might get myself a clio V6 :-p

Took the VR down to BHP motorsport in weybridge t'other day for a rolling road sesh.. Figured I'd get about 180~190bhp... car's standard bar the miltek sytem. Managed 188bhp & 190ft/lb... was well chuffed then chappy there told me the car was running far too lean and I'd easily see over 200bhp with correct fueling!! I also know his rollers are good aswell... which makes me even more chuffed!

Mine has dropped recently, does anyone know which part I need to replace or is it the whole mechanism?

Looking at the mitchell manual, it seems to me all the blue/white wires (stereo, spoiler controller, cruise control) join in a junction box and then go off to the instruments. The switch is a possibility I suppose. Did try testing the controller using a multimeter and me dad checking the settings from the passenger seat.... the thing is I'm not actually sure what I'm looking for!! Does the speed activation wire provide voltage or a measured resistance drop??

Its my 3rd spoiler, all 2nd hand admittedly, but all bought from the forum, I'd trust people not to sell me a duff 1. Don't think too many of mates are gonna volunteer to hop in the back of the car really so that idea's out of the window. I'm right in thinking the speed sensor (also replaced brand new) goes into the instrument cluster, the signal is used for the speedo and then passed down to the spoiler controller??

how tuneable is the W8 lump, you don't see too many things on it really

Right, the spoiler controller arrived, put it on and guess what??? No change, still only works on manual!!! I'm thinking its to do with the instrument cluster, as that has to send a signal to the spoiler controller.. can anyone confirm that as a possible fault

well the new (2nd hand) spoiler controller arrived today, fingers crossed it'll be alright on the night!!

...... and i just wanted to check.. a mate of mine reckons the rear heater is c*ck anyways and can't demist for toffee..... I can drive 15mins down the M23 and it might start clearing... does that sound reasonable?

Daft question, but the switch still lights up when u push it down, does the light actually signify the switch working or is it on a seperate circuit??

My mate's on his way back from castle coombe, told me on the txt there were tonnes of type-R's, gonna fill me later.. mind you, he was in his 260bhp fiat coupe!!

any ideas how much a PROPER (lol) service is? If I can get the type-r out of my mind then I'll go 4 some 288mm brakes or hi-tech ones... not sure which way to go on the suspension front, wanna keep the speedlines, so it needs lowering.. Koni coilovers are a little out of my league at the mo.

hmmm worried by that word 'prise' lol.. I tried repairing 1 that some chav had decided to smash off.. i think I made it worse lol!! .. I shall tackle that challenge then.... if there still isn't any power at the mirrors any other ideas what might be the problem?? A dodgy switch maybe??

just to reopen this thread........ my sunroof goes up n down, but not back. Had a good look at it..... it seems to sit all level n true, so I'm thinking the cables haven't sheared.. and I can't see any possible breakages. The rubber bungs on the end of the arms are well worn down.. could it just be some as simple as replacing them?????
