my mrs has a mk3 8v gti, shes always said that its alot quicker than mine as when she has driven mine in the past its only been around town etc,and her car has loads of initial torque. her cars been in the bodyshop for the past month and shes been using my rado for work and i think she scared herself with the power! now shes got her car back shes moaning how slow it is! she agrees its hard to see out the back and hard to get in and out but lets face it, whether we are male or female we should be able to drive pretty much everything.

the 90mm 1 looks to big, use a 50mm 1, i used a vr6 1 once and they are 120mm
-
the mk3 inlet and outlets are the wrong end and theres 3 of them that are different sizes
-
my intercooler is bigger than that and i piped mine up the same idea as that. It all helps
-
well remove calipers, wind piston out on caliper so the pads very lightly bind, then fit back together. new handbrake cables are cheap and make a difference
-
i think thats quite expensive. low effort on handbrake is prob caliper not adjusted properly
-
my mount is screwed so this cant be all that bad
-
Ive just read on JTs forsale thread that the JMR solid engine mount is 20mm to short? i recently bought 1 of these mounts secondhand and didnt realise this. can i add a 20mm shim between the mount and the engine bracket?

As said above, best to remove he snorkel and the front of airbox. I find it easiest to just give it a wack with a hammer from inside the box and it should just pop out

Always use the mechs with the handles, neil, your striker pin looks like its been modded
-
the abf block is approx 18mm taller so causes downpipe issues and also it uses a different injection system. This can be converted to run the 1.8 injection though Use the 9a from passat or corrado as this is a straight swap
-
I was guna say cambelt tensioner or waterpump? il pop over and have a look if you get stuck
-
Im guessing you will need a manifld and downpipe, and i think sns may be able to write you a new chip to suit
-
Hi Dave! Did you check if the ead fan switch was kicking in both speeds? Also, theres a corrado meet next saturday if your interested in following me up? Have a look in the meets section
