mines a conversion, and since i got it running properly, its been fine. First thing i did though was get a health check on the charger at g-werks.
-
mine runs well rough when first started and smells well fuelly, i changed mine and it didnt make a difference

i just bought a vag 1, il see if i can find the part no

as bad as this sounds, i have and seen wheels like that. Ive hit them hard with a large hammer and straightened em and they still hold air and went through mot
-
The later 2l 16v corrados did not ever come with 50mm manifolds. yours will have a 42mm short runner, large plenum manifold if standard
-
Prob doesnt make a difference but sounds amazin so good enough really!

So i understand that when you delete the boost return, you no longer get the oil mist back into the charger. Since getting my charger back from darren from its health check in july i hvent lubed it and i have boost return deleted  Ive prob only covered 1000miles Am i asking for trouble?
-
it does help reduce interferance on your radio aswell. Citreons with plastic bonnets have a metal mesh underneath for same reason
-
you wont loose boost as its on the inlet side of charger i think.Dont want unfiltered air getting in charger anyway
-
I normally take them out when the engines hot but guess youve already got it in bits so it wont run? Just yank on the bugger
-
just swap the inlet cam for the kr 1 and its easier to do if your doing the head gasket anyway. Make sure you check the inter cam timing like 4 times as when you tighten down the cams,it tends to move a tooth. If you have a good 1.8 head with the cams in, id be tempted to just bolt that on. Good luck

im guna say jabba just to be ackward  Only joking, g-werks all the way, think enough people have suggested them now for you to make a decision
-
still no evidence to adjusting the arm for the boost return?
-
as far as adjusting the linkage is concerned, if it is adjusted then the butterfly for boost return will shut earlier causing full boost earlier on. I think i read before tho, that this can decrease charger life
-
i think adjusting the linkage can cause major probs and can kill your charger so id leave that bit alone Im sure someone will confirm
-
that pretty much explains it?
-
nice!!! isnt 3" overkill or wont it make much difference? im thinking smaller diameter tubing speeding the air up? Im using 2.5"

Bmw E36 hella angel eyes

sns chip is by far the best IMO £120 aswell
-
can we throw in vr6 first and second in that chart?
-
thats brilliant except ive forgotten which is which. My new box obviously is AYN my 16v current box is AGC? alternative g60 box is CBA? Im having a thick moment
-
that is useful! so the higher the number the longer the gear? it does my head in about lower/higher ratios  my current gearbox is low ratio'd?
