Just taken a polo 1.4 98 model to our local stealers as it occasionally stalls. Theve told me its the "Thrust intake pressure sensor" and quoted £175.89 to change. Has anyone got a clue to what 1 of these is and how much a new 1 is and is it easy to change? Theve also quoted £61.10 to clean the throttlebody :shock: Any help much appreciated

The top nipple is the ecu one,the other is for the carbon cannister. Mine does this when cold and im putting it down to gsf temp sensor.

try lifting the flap in the meterhead whilst cranking

i done mine, was very easy but im a mechanic. make sure you have the complete engine loom and also exhaust

you can buy everything from under a g60 bonnet for a grand easily,a flowed 16v head will cost you £500 Ive been there and done it

I bought a charger from ebay that was working for £300 then shipped it to g-werks for a check to be on the safe side. Ive seen the 1 jabba 1 on egay,needing oil seals? Id prob buy that then get g-werks to rebuild as buying a new 1 then getting it stage 4 will cost truck loads

is the oil leaking into the water system? if you just have a leak in that area,its prob the rubber seal between the exchanger and housing

also check for a dodgy earth strap

can only be switch if power is there and fan works

no that mounts by the battery. Have you checked with multimeter that you have live at the switch etc

the bits i supplied you are to keep your existing heat exchanger,that way the oil will warm up to temp quicker and the cooler will keep it a optmium temp

it will be the lift pump. when these start to fail they make the main pump noisey
