changed the wishbone the way you suggested mike on my polo this week but getting the wishbone back in was difficult as the it needs to be horizontal to slide into the sub frame and the strut needs to be loosened to give enough space to pull the hub away from the wishbone,. I'll give halfrauds a try and see what this universal locking nut remover can do.

Hopefully my corrado will be going in for its mot some time soon and seems to have a clunking noise when going over bumps on the passenger side, which i have checked and it turns out to be rear wishbone bush that is coming out. Anway thought that i could swap it with a new wishbone with bushes already in but realised that prevoius owner has left a locking nut on the front and never gave me the key  . Is there anyway i can drop the track rod end then change the wishbone without having to take the wheel off, i doubt it but you never know. The car is on coilovers so the angle of the wishbones aint gonna help. Anybody recommend a good tool to remove the locking nut its not a crappy one that you can bang a socket onto. :(

tried some leather sciricco seats fronts dropped in nice but rears were way out (well wide) i'm sure that the golf fronts will drop straight in but the rear lower bench may be too wide as the door cards slope in near the seats at the rear of the corrado.

i think i'll do that, hopefully it will get sorted

After the mrs (named seconded driver) had a crash in my mk4 polo (write off) it seems that the bus driver who did it has decided to try shift the blame onto us, anyway what happens if both parties don't claim liability will i loose my 3 years no claims (not protected, i'm only tpft) or do i get to keep them? I have legal cover so have a solicitor working on it on my behalf but i've been told that its gonna be long winded as getting money from the bus company always takes ages :( , worst thing was i have my corrado ready on the driveway and was waiting until nov to use these no claims to insure it, well gutted. My car had three people in it one passenger who was taken to hospital to have some cuts seen to, i've been advised to emphasise this heavily when putting in my claim. anybody been in a similar position did you loose your ncd? Any advice would be much appreciated :D

changed the front one recentlr along with the front mount bracket but it still seems that the engine has movement when i take off, must be the back one, is it any easy job like the front one or does the rusty exhaust manifold have to come off, i hope not

Anybody know if the mk2 golf and corrado 1.8 kr rear engine mounts are the same as i need to replace the rear one in my corrado and wonder if its worth getting an uprated one. Not sure about a solid one, as i don't want my car to shake itself to bits, any suggestions

i had a 160rli autowatch on my last corrado and was the most reliable thing on the car, i highly recommend autowatch

dubsport use them i believe

get some pics up of the tt seats and i will tell you how to fit them, i've done tt seats into a mk3 golf and it wasnt that difficult, do you know a decent welder? personally i don't like any universal things, pretty sure they would ruin the corrado's low seating position

looking nice mate, better than those 15"s you had on before just get some rear lights on and get it lowered. Nice rims by the way

after trying everything possible to get my corrado to idle at 900-1000rpm i decided to move the adjustment screw that controls the resting position of the throttle on my 1.8 16v c. I have tried changing the metering unit, adjusting mixture ,distributer, isv changed, checked timing, changed the isv control module but this mad no difference :? the car would just fire up a and then die. The only thing that would keep it running was holding the idle up by keeping the throttle held down slighty to stop the revs drooping off. Anyway what exactly does the little micro switch do on the manifold as now it won't be pressed when the throttle is released, is this going to be problem? This is only a short term solution until i find the proper problem causing this, could this possible damage my engine?

yeah the rims on your car are spot on, wish they still made them, kinda like porsche cups but split rim looking and better
-
thanks will have a look tonight

think i may have sussed what could be causing my dodgy unstable idle, i think its the isv control module unit it looks like a black box and has the number 244 on it, just wondering if anyone know where it would be located on a 1990 16v 1.8kr corrado. thanks :D
-
i'm pretty sure they look fairly similar, i cant see someone splitting the braceing from the bonnet skin and re attaching a new skin, would be tricky and difficult to hide the joing seam, but you never know?
-
a light blow over with some light red tint and they would look a lot better

yeah i've got electric windows :? , was the sunroof an additional option as my car has all the usual electrics but no sunroof its a 1990 h reg 16v kr, i've seen loads of corrado's with sunroofs but not that many without? Have to say miss the sunroof as my windows are tinted and it gets kinda dark inside. Does anyone know the pulse wire that should come of the handle to activate the auto closure/ cheers
-
some of the polos use a palstic support bracket and often one of these breaks causing the pressure to be put on one support to lift the window, best way to check is put the window half way up and see if you can lift it up,if it moves a fair bit then the supports are either loose broken or one is missing. The mk4 polos are really eay to work on (i've had four so far, still got one aswell as the c). To take the door car of just whip off the door pin prise of the handle cover take out the two philips screws and then pop the card off starting from the bottom below door pocket, just dynamated mine so thats why i can remember this, hope it helps mate :D
-
should it do it from both handle or just drivers
-
does the engine turn over but won't fire up, or does it start then die of? could be blown head gasket but would have to be bad to not even start, could be starter motor related, i'd start by checking that there is a spark to each ht lead and fuel coming coming through each injector, and then go from there.

Does anyone know if all corrado's are wired so that by holding the key in the locked position the windows shoul close, as on my previous corrado h reg 16v the windows would close but not the sunroof, and on my new h reg corrado also 16v the windows don't (the car is a non sunroof model though). thanks :D
