CoxyLaad 0 Posted June 9, 2006 My 4wd kit is going nowhere. It will be getting ftted when its required after either a) I supercharge it or b) I take it out to this mythical 4 litres....which I have still found no evidence of... phat, aircon cannot wait, its sweltering out there man! Jim 2 Posted June 9, 2006 Just open the window!! I used Aircon in my MK4 twice last year.. once on the way to a wedding in unbelievable heat (and wearing a full tuxedo, waist coat, etc) and the other on the way home from an airshow which, again, was one of the hottest days of the year!! Sheesh :D

CoxyLaad 0 Posted June 14, 2006 Some News: I got the climatronic wiring finished last night. Oh the joy on my face the first time I turned the ignition on and got that lovely blue glow from the control panel, and that cool breeze in my face (which was nice cos I had been sweating my codgers off in the footwell all night!) All that remains is to sort out the fan control wiring and gas the system up. then its onto the ESP system! woohoo!
PhatVR6 0 Posted June 14, 2006 nice work! (although it's not going to help get the bloody thing on the road is it!)
CoxyLaad 0 Posted June 14, 2006 well it is in a round about way cos theres no way I could have put it on the road without an airbox (I had ripped all the old gubbins out and threw it away)

24V Renshaw 0 Posted June 16, 2006 Thats only three wires to get that to light up like that :) Seriously though, good progress mate, looks like you have started connecting aircon pipes to the compressor too. Just for your info, there are two types of pressure switch on the aircon systems. One is a normal high/low on/off pressure switch. The other creates a square wave which is sent to the ECU to change the engine map so you don't notice the load and its all a lot more efficient. Not sure which type you have but the 4motion one on mine is the later. Jay
