Critical_Mass 10 Posted June 5, 2008 I got me a full supersprint last year best thing I've put on the car! Looks awesome and sounds great! Think I paid around £280 delivered for front pipe, centre pipe and oval back box! £280? :gag: Was that for a VR, where did you get it? I've just paid £460 delivered from Stealth for a centre pipe, centre box and an oval back box :(
belfastfumanchu 0 Posted June 6, 2008 For my valver I paid £350 for Supersprint middle pipe and oval back box.
Critical_Mass 10 Posted June 6, 2008 Just had my supersprint fitted. I bought the large oval back box, i had the same design on my G60 and it fit a treat. But the one for the back box on the VR seems to sit very close to the top of the recess for the exhaust pipe on the back bumper - I dont want it to rub. Its had a new bracket on the back at least. Has anyone got a pic of a Oval back box fitted to a VR, preferably a Supersprint system, but would like to see others too. Its just to see if anyone else's sits so close to the bumper like the box is slanted up towards the back.
millerman 0 Posted June 6, 2008 not sure if this helps but here is my vr6 with a magnex oval must say it fits perfect kel
Critical_Mass 10 Posted June 6, 2008 Cheers. How far is it hanging from the recess of the bumper, mines very close?

mic_VR 3 Posted June 6, 2008 Just thought I'd give an update on my Techtonics Tuning 2.5inch straight through 'zorst with Dual borla's. Having had it on the car for the past 6 months all I can say is that it has been excellent! No knocking, banging, and nice and shiney (for those that care about that kind of stuff). Best bit is the noise, nice deep burble at idle rising to a throaty roar if you put your foot down (IMO sounds best at 2000rpm) but if you back off, ie cruising at 70mph, it is stock quiet! very very 8) I'm sure most of those that have heard it or been in the car will vouch for it, although it's very stealthy (no flashy tailpipe) so not to everyones taste and it was pretty expensive compared to an off the shelf from Magnex/Milltek. 100% worth the price and the small hassle of getting it imported from the states but those lovely people the Schimmels made it so easy i would highly recommend that if anyone is interested in getting one you get in contact with them. Riley 0 Posted June 20, 2008 G60 guys...What exhaust manifolds are you running and what do you think? Im trying to build my own custom system on the cheap with different bits...and just wondered about the manifold. Im not keen on the g-werks one because of the position of the lambda bung (in 1 runner rather than in collector),not knowing what make they actually are, mainly the price too as ive seen cheaper. Not always better i can appreciate that. And the cheaper one ive had my eye on is the hottuning STAINLESS  4 branch (4-2-1) at only £158 quid + delivery! Any info on the above, or other options appreciated. I think im decided on magnex back box and pipewerx center section, and having them fit it all too. Neil.
Riley 0 Posted June 20, 2008 Mmmmmm :? Just had an email off hottuning who say their manifold won't fit if you have power steering :? Erm...all corrado's have power steering! :? Any other options guys?

I found the raceland (same as hot tuning IIRC) one ok but it's a bit tight around the anti roll bar but deffo needs a solid front mount to stop it catching hope this helps
coolrado 0 Posted June 20, 2008 Im not keen on the g-werks one because of the position of the lambda bung (in 1 runner rather than in collector) Are you sure thats for the lambda? as the lambda is normally mounted in the intake to the cat or cat bypass pipe. Riley 0 Posted June 20, 2008 Cheers guys... :) Apparently the hottuning ones are for lhd cars only too? :? As for the lambda bung on the gwerks one, ive gone off the below pic...Unlessthe actual lambda bung is that slight bump near the bottom? Would be collecting from runners 1 and 4 then? Clicky here for picture !
coolrado 0 Posted June 24, 2008 Whatever that hole is for it doesnt really matter as the lambda sensor hole is in the cat pipe or cat bypass pipe, further back, so it could either be capped off or used for something else.
boost monkey 0 Posted June 24, 2008 There won't be a cat or bypass on an early spec car. I've seen lambda bungs right at the bottom join, where all the pipes come together.
coolrado 0 Posted June 24, 2008 it's for a G60 though so should have a lambda sensor.
boost monkey 0 Posted June 24, 2008 Early Gs had lambdas? Seems a bit odd.
coolrado 0 Posted June 24, 2008 Early Gs had lambdas? Seems a bit odd. As far as i know yeah Loads of vw's had cats and lambda's fitted before it became legislation though.
Timbo 0 Posted June 25, 2008 Car: G60 Exhaust 1: SuperSprint Mega System, Cat back. Sturdy, appeared well made (albeit mild steel). VERY heavy system, which required about 3 hours fitting by specialist. However, very satisfying visually and orally. Went through rubbers like crazy though. You like sucking off your exhaust?... and you go through lots of rubbers? :camp:

I wouldnt say it was that heavy, well im sure it compared to a SS system. But hten ive only had a standard exhaust or a supersprint and the supersprint is lighter then the standard one. I highly recommend the Supersprint systems.
speedysmartypants 0 Posted July 26, 2008 just fitted full dubpower system including de-cat and stainless manifold. happy with fit but the end tip touched my bumper when driving and melted the paint off. the end of this exhaust gets fu*king hot! gunna wrap the manifold next week to stop the heat soak. think i'll try sum new rubbers aswell. sounds quiet untill you put your foot down and past 4000rpm is nice. got my girlfriends brother to drive up the road for me and it sounded awesome from outside the car. motorway cruising is almost silent. the exhaust i removed was a miltek one. my opinion is that the dubpower one is less bassy than the miltek and sounds much better. this is a proper performance system! try for yourself. tom n 0 Posted August 7, 2008 Car: 2l 16v Corrado Exhaust: Powerflow I recently bought my rado with this system on it and the sound is great. Not too loud on idle and deep at around 2500rpm. At motorway speeds rather quiet, so i can't knock the noise, its excellent. However. The fit of it is rather poor, when i bought the car it knocked a little at the back which i thought would be the rubbers, but after taking it down to my local exhaust specialist (Zorstec) it turns out that the bend over the rear beam is nowhere near big enough and no amount of rubbers will fix it :( After further investigation, it turns out that the guarantee is only applicable to the person and not the car and it must be taken to the exact dealer where it was made (in my case a fair trip :( ) so i am left with am lifetime guarantee exhaust that they won't fix :mad2:
The_Dude 0 Posted August 18, 2008 My centre box has a meaty hole in it, I guess its new zorst time, so what do people recommend for a charged VR? Full or part system and what size and make?
Critical_Mass 10 Posted August 18, 2008 Id personally go for a supersprint.... i did go for a supersprint - Cat back with oval tail pipe. Quality system, bit more expensive then other zorsts, but worth it. Though the back box on the my VR doesnt fit as well as the one i had on the G60. speedysmartypants 0 Posted August 18, 2008 DUBpower system. would go perfect with your charger. im well happy with mine. exhaust, decat, manifold, performance leads and 70 degree thermo all for £699. once fitted proply the fit is perfect. quiet unless u floor it and then it sounds wicked. way better than the miltek i had before which was just a bassy drone. i choose the optional first box bypass aswell. looks pretty oem just a bit bigger and shiny.
