junkie 0 Posted March 2, 2008 So you kept it quiet for 3 hours  dont blame you though i would be shouting it from the roof tops. Looks loads better though. For some reason, I can imagine a group of old men sat in your car soaked in gin, smoking pipes and talking about the war. ROFL
g60greeny 0 Posted March 3, 2008 yeah  they feel like go kart seats when ya drivin :D gotta get a few bits sorted before the interiors complete, need to add my own personal touches to it 8)
Guest Posted March 3, 2008 8) Looking good, I couldnt picture that interior in a car from the ebay pics, but have to say that is one nice and very unique set of "saddles" i mean seats Like the new rims too, you cant go wrong with some BBS split rims on a VW, everyone rants "there done to death" but you simply cant beat the look or the quality of them, I have a set of widened 8j and 7.5 RM`s on my Cabriolet with black powder coated centres, now i got my C i can either run the New Borbet A`s or those which is a bonus as they make the car have a very different look
g60greeny 0 Posted March 3, 2008 the whole "done to death" thing never worry s me,its all down to personal tastes,i just wanna have a smart lookin rado, not goin for prizes an "scene" points,(dont do enough shows for a starters)if things turn up for sale that i like,an think will improve the looks of the daily work horse an i got the spare cash i'll buy um :D dont get me wrong i loved me recaros an borbets, but i felt the interior needed a change, the grey wasn't to my taste any longer,so need to either get a retrim or a complete change, the complete change weighed in a lot less than a retrim  ,plus i loved it when it was in dougs master piece,i'm actually tryin to get him to part we the dash(we no success  ) as for the wheels, bbs were my 1st choice for me rado but could never afford any,so when the rs's came up on a good deal we me borbets it had to be done,i reckon by the end of the year, looks wise my vision will be complete  ,so 2009 engine mods will begin i hope :D but ya never know what the future holds,i'd still love a TT so if anyone wants to swap
vwdeviant 0 Posted March 3, 2008 yeah  they feel like go kart seats when ya drivin :D gotta get a few bits sorted before the interiors complete, need to add my own personal touches to it 8) Polished Walnut and a Drinks cabinet in the shape of a globe?

Guest Posted March 6, 2008 I got 195 45`s on my RM`s on my cabriolet, to be fair they are quite stretched even on 8j so it may be pushing it on a 9j, they were a real pain to mount them too! had to use the old seat cover trick
Jonesmark12 0 Posted March 6, 2008 195 45 on the rears on a 9 would be mad! now 165/40's with the rubber being pre stretched!!! (HeHe - Joking!!) :blackeye: just looked looked at the post on edition, the 195/45 arent stupid looking with the proxies - but i have to agree with shakey, those sp9000 in the 215/40's look awesome, great tyre too..
