nah, fat cows definitely got everything to do with lowering. Never measured mine, but take a look anyways :)

joebloggsVR69, whats the ride like on the Konig Silverline-X. I don't really want to compromise the ride too much for the sake of my spine sadly...

STORM 2 - The ride is a little bit firmer than standard, but then I guess you'd expect that when its lowered :)

It's certainly not uncomfortable, feels perfect on 95% of the roads I'm on.

Just that a small part of my drive to work is on some god awful road with sh!t loads of potholes and undulations.. Then again, when I drive my standard MK2 GTI on that road, it's not a whole lot better! :D

I guess it also depends on how much you decide to lower it - I'd imagine the lower you go, the more the springs are compressed and the firmer it is? :?

Cheers joebloggsVR69, BTW did you do it yourself or take it somewhere? If so what was the damage in all?

I got it done at a garage, while it was in for the chains/clutch

I dunno what most garages charge, but my place cut me a really good deal

Had the following work carried out for less than £500:

- Chains/tensioners replaced

- Fit new clutch & flywheel

- Fit new suspension

- Fit new brake disks + pads

..and they had to supply a new thermostat

Bargain!!

Sorry but i think some of the rados (IMO) are way too low. Even if it was only for weekends or a show piece. How you going to around in them. Could get over a stone chip never mind a speed bump or anything else that may scrape the front bumpers and underside. Still they DO look nice but i think there is a balance.

EDIT - WTF was i on about - possibly drunk  dont remember writing that anyhow. Nah all looks good!
