mic_VR 3 Posted February 27, 2009 Bloody hell James, another half arsed job eh? Seriously, looking superb as usual mate. I'll definitely be keen to hear how the new brakes feel as I'm not sure how big discs I want to go on my car and those do look really sweet with your wheels as well. Top work sir. :salute:
CorradoVR6-Turbo 0 Posted February 27, 2009 Thanks all :D and i drove it today with the trade plates as i could not wait! Firts i hit a snag, the calipers caught the wheels when you braked hard as i did not take in to account "flex" they where dame close! so another 2mm spacer... :? Ran the brakes in,harder and harder untill they where bedded in and now they are fully bedded..... all i can say is WOW! they are so powerfull!!! the abs had a heart attack  and they are smooth and progressive....love it soo much! now i have the confidence to drive into corners etc faster and harder and knowing it will stop quickly! Just need to do the gearbox now as im hating the lazy arsed final drive! takes to long to get through the gears....
CorradoVR6-Turbo 0 Posted February 27, 2009 oh and im going to have to raise the car by an 1" or so....it now squats when you boot it hard and the wheels disapear into the the back arches and rubs....brake just as hard and the wheels dive into the front arches
CorradoVR6-Turbo 0 Posted March 4, 2009 Lazy post..... im building my 3" exhaust, got some bits tonight and made up the centre/over axel section.....this will be followed on by the rear silencer and fully welded up by tommorow. I am so enjoying my strongbow after lying on my back for 2 hrs looking up at a floor pan  randoms... My trusty old 100amp mig with stainless wire(not on yet) and a argon/co2 mix for gas... Lots of bits to make fit! This was my reducer,3" down to 2,25 had to clamp this over my magnex!
