Guest Posted July 27, 2004 I work in the motor industry with both dealers and manufacturers. Spent most of 2003 in Germany / Austria and Spain launching the Mazda RX-8 and Mazda3 to European dealers but got fed up with being away from home. Set up own business Jan 04 doing the same thing and loving every minute of it.

The_Dude 0 Posted August 12, 2010 and just like that the thread is up and running again! I work for a bank. No, I do not get huge bonuses and a massive paycheck, I work in retail banking. I'm hoping for redundancy because the bank is fecked, and if that doesn't happen my pay is frozen till at least Dec 2011. Fekkin sh*tehawks. (that may give you a clue as to what country my bank is based in) :(

Laser Mark 0 Posted August 12, 2010 For the past 6 years I've been a Laser Operator at a firm in Colwick Nottingham. We make bespoke Mortuary and Laboratory Equipment. I get to play all day with a 15 year old machine and try to keep it running, a bit like a corrado :cuckoo: It can be great fun at times as there are a some good lads that work there. Also, the fact I work with various thickness of sheet steel its handy when I need to make little parts for the car. As long as you keep the drafty sweet all's good! :notworthy: Before that I was a time served apprentice as a Spring Maker for 7 years.
mattnorgrove 0 Posted August 13, 2010 I'm a Network (DWDM, SDH, Ethernet) Test Engineer. Fault finding and fixing mainly. We remotely test all new services my company has provided and those that don't work first time, is where my role fits in. Our Field staff attend each end of the link, to install NTE's and Routers. It's my job to find why the link won't pass traffic, and sort it out. Nice and varied, and quite high pressure, so it keeps thing interesting. Plus working in the city means plenty of boozers for after work.
