why do we even bother?

The other week i foing my wing Mirror bent right back

Presuming you meant "found" not "foing" I had the same thing a few weeks back. It wasn't just me, all the cars up one side of the street had their wing mirrors folded forwards (towards the front of the car) on the *pavement* side, so clearly not a car...

No damage done, so no worries really, but it's a bad sign...

yeah this sort of thing seems to happen far to much  i once had my car and my dad's keyed up and the tyres let down and they where both parked on the drive  I've got a garage now and refuse to move anywhere without one, there's no way i'd park my car out on the street to many bad drivers and muppets about :!: Thing is it's getting to the stage where i won't take the raddo out ( i'm lucky enough to have a second car) i've got Chips away coming out soon for a few stone chips and a scratches, what the hell will i been like then

Just a thought...if you find yourself with a nasty dent you KNOW has been done by the adjacent driver, open your boot and reach for the jack......nice and heavy, could do some sweet damage..........but I didn't tell ya

If I've got my two daugthers in the car (they are 11 and 9) I drill into them to watch the door as they open it. I do this every time but I think they know by now :)

The wife gets it right, she just takes up two spaces so her car is left alone, its either bad drivers or car park spaces are smaller, failing that park in the parent and child spots

park in the parent and child spots

nooo don't do that cos then you KNOW you'll have a bad mum in a big SUV with 3 kids and a run away trolley next to you. Park next to a wall. And employ an armed guard

or just have a cheap piece of cr@p car that you use for going to the supermarket... ;) I tend to find people WON'T park next to my MKII driver 'cos it looks like the sort of car that's gonna use their car to find the way in and out of the space... ;) Funnily enough, it's not got a single dent or scratch more on it since I bought it, and I just tend to abandon it in a carpark rather then bothering with parking it properly... :D 8)

I used to find that with the old cavalier actually. People would deliberately avoid it (on the roads too). It could have been the wonky headlights and the big dent up the side.. It was a little battle scarred.. :) :)

The funny thing is I have a second work car that I use for the shopping, etc.... six months ago that was a banger Escort diesel that cost me next to nowt.... looked ok but I didnt give a monkeys about it.... dumped it in car parks anywhere, blah, blah.... I have since upgraded it to a half decent Pug 306 TDi and find myself doing the same things as what I do with the Corrado... although not quite to that extent!!!

Think I need to sell it and get a rusty banger again
