Corrado stolen!

Recommended Posts

Hey guys,

Just a note to say that my 96 blackberry VR6 was stolen today from my garage in Surrey, via a low-loader.

Reg: N6 VVW.

Details: Lowered, anthracite team dynamics pro-race multispoke alloys, tinted windows, 'ring sticker & Corrado forum sticker (rear)

If anyone sees it, or anyone suspicious selling parts of a blackberry vr, then I'd be keen to pass the information on to the authorities.

Slim chance I suppose...

Cheers,

Ben

This seems to be happening way to often with trucks taking people's cars away! Terrible news and fingers crossed it turns up unharmed!

Really sorry to hear this mate, I had this happen to me with one of my old cars and it makes you feel terrible. It makes me mad the fact that sticky fingered little s**** can't leave other people's stuff alone :bad-words: I will keep an eye out for you down my way in Kent. I hope she gets found.

That's awful news. I'm not far away so will keep an eye out.

It's a bit of an odd one someone stealing to order from a garage for a car that nowadays isn't very expensive and most people wouldn't consider buying. Was it a garage at your house or a nearby lockup? What time of day was it stolen?

Good luck with it being found although the chances are very slim.

Keep an eye on eBay and Gumtree for the wheels.

11am from the garages at my flat. He was making pleasantries with the neighbours.

None of them said anything cause the car had to be recovered from home a few months ago.

Sorry to hear the news Ben.

I used to live in Stoneleigh, we bumped into each other a few times years ago. I am in Crawley now, but drive to Surrey for work, so will keep an eye out.

Good luck getting it back mate :( Really didn't think the Corrado was desirable enough to go to any lengths to steal any more, especially if it involved getting it onto a low loader.

I have the car back!

Really long story, but basically it was stolen by solicitors looking to auction the estate of an elderly resident of the flats I live at. I park there with her/the board's permission, but they couldn't be rimmed to bother with any kind of checks or to apply any common sense (just why does this 90yr old woman own a rare modified sports car? And why aren't there any keys in her flat?...na, forget it) - so they cut the handbrake cable and took it. Next stop, small claims court.

Anyway, it's back. Thanks for the messages guys, always nice to see there are other nice people out there, somewhere. ;)

Wtf ?! . As you said , common sense ! . Glad you got it back . Oh and don't forget a nice bill for the new handbrake cable , the stress involved , anxiety attacks lol , they love suing and billing people , let em have it with both barrels .

Well that's just mental, fecking ballifs!

Surely they should check to see who owns stuff before they take it rather than just be in a position to take what they want..

I would have them prosecuted for theft. Forget compensation, I'd want to see someone serving jail time for this.
