mooG60 11 Posted May 9, 2019 (edited) *Edit* After seeing the inside of the car I have changed my mind! Edited May 9, 2019 by mooG60
ger040 3 Posted May 9, 2019 advertised on gumtree (£2900) the usual non working sunroof, interior looks well worn but no apparent holes, both front and rear. from the pictures front suspension turrets look rusty - car living by the sea?

_Matt_ 32 Posted May 9, 2019 I don't think I could entertain those suspenion turrets! My car has a layer of wax over them (and other metal work in the bay) so i'm suprised to see it's rusting there.
Keyo 47 Posted May 9, 2019 Didn't someone off here buy this at an auction a few months back and posted this car on the forum!!
mooG60 11 Posted May 9, 2019 Oh, it's a bit tatty here and there. The write up paints it nicely for the auction. No wonder they left the interior out.
1xshaunx1 27 Posted May 9, 2019 What about the fact it has 3 weeks MOT. I’d be a bit wary, of why the seller hasn’t put 12 months on it. I bet the brake lines and sill fronts don’t look any better than the engine bay.
Dox 23 Posted May 10, 2019 There's nothing nasty on the MOT history
coullstar 0 Posted May 10, 2019 I asked about this recently, its a decent enough car but does need a tidy up in different areas. Just needs a freshen up.

VR6 South 0 Posted May 13, 2019 This seems good value in comparison. https://www.pistonheads.com/classifieds/used-cars/volkswagen/corrado/corrado-vr6-storm/9670975 That’s the sort of money Corrados should be Commanding today, based upon similar classics from the same era. coullstar 0 Posted May 16, 2019 Anybody that pays that for a Corrado or even Mk2 Golf etc needs their head read. Just because people are asking that price doesn't mean there worth it.
MarkR 11 Posted May 17, 2019 That’s the sort of money Corrados should be Commanding today, based upon similar classics from the same era. If only. The crazy thing is that even if you purchased the auction car for a couple of grand it would cost you another £10k to get it into the condition of the advertised Storm. Keyo 47 Posted May 17, 2019 (edited) To get a Rado in good condition and purchase you are looking at 10k this it totally fact. Remember folks people forked out good money for these cars back in the 90s new. If you look at the link below it will show you what a Rado VR6 would cost new in today's money. £40K base price - with options £45K https://www.bankofengland.co.uk/monetary-policy/inflation/inflation-calculator Edited May 17, 2019 by Keyo

MarkR 11 Posted May 28, 2019 The Morris Leslie auction Corrado VR6 sold for £2332. Fairly strong money for a car that requires a new interior, sun roof etc.
coullstar 0 Posted May 30, 2019 I was offered it for £2900 a few months back.
