  1. You can fit your fingertips in the gap in the offside, it doesn't look terrible in the picture but it's noticeable on the car and I don't remember it being that bad before, mind you, my memory's not what it was [emoji53] Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk
  2. Hi guys, I've just been attempting to repair my rather sorry looking chin spoiler when I've noticed my bumper seems a little lower on the offside than the nearside. (See pics) Is this just something not put back properly after all the work she's had done recently or does something need adjusting? I've checked the bolts under the car that hold the bumper on and they seem as tight as possible. Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk

But weirdly, I've just popped the cover off my fusebox, relay 3 is numbered 109! Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk

  7. I haven't even seen another one on the road for at least 2 years! I'm looking forward to seeing at least a couple of others. Where do we need to be, what time do we need to be there and do I need to buy tickets before we go or pay on the gate?

    Cheers

  8. I've just had the 500 mile service after cautiously running the Corrado in after her rebuild. I drove carefully off the steep crossing outside the workshop and made my way gently back towards the A4232 heading towards the M4 and home. At the onslip to the A4232 I thought "this seems a pretty good place to test the acceleration since the rebuild" and firmly planted my right foot into the carpet... The noise that followed was nothing short of an automotive opera! The Corrado reached 70 mph in what felt like the blink of an eye and I eased off to cruise along at the speed limit, grinning to myself as I went. I had a few more opportunities to push her hard at appropriate points in the ensuing journey home and each occasion was as much fun as the first! Rebuild done and now well and truly tested I can safely say she feels much tighter, faster and healthier than at any point previous during our ownership and hopefully she's now ready for the next 24 years! 9. Is it too late to ask if I could take you up on the offer of a space next to your G60 at Sunday's show in Brecon?

  10. From memory I think it was a year 2000 Skoda Octavia, I swapped because of the exact problem your describing of the panel opening but having to be retracted by hand. I changed it purely as a process of elimination as I am definitely not an expert. Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk

  14. Looks almost black sometimes but up close or in sunlight you can see the blue pearl.
  15. Moonlight blue pearl lc5m, like mine? Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk
  16. I'm looking for the three peice plastic trim under the wipers, do you have some? Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk
  17. Thanks, I was trying to decide whether or not to show her at Volksfest Wales on the 20th, still not sure? Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk
  18. Just a quick update, I've nearly done the 500 miles running in, I've somehow resisted the temptation and taken it easy and she's booked in for the 500 mile service on Monday. The fuel economy has stayed way above 30mpg despite the varied journeys and the engine note is now a lot throatier and consistent than it was before. Once the service is completed on Monday I'm (really, really) looking forward to hearing her at the higher end of the rev range. All systems seem to be go for Volksfest Wales on August 20th. I'd love to go to the Corrado National day instead but Brands is a long way from sunny Swansea and the kids aren't quite as entertained by the Corrado's new singing voice as I am! Just to celebrate the first 500 miles I gave her a quick polish before the rain came back. Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk
  19. I've never shown her, she's a very clean daily but how far do you go? I always think of show cars as mint condition, as a VR6 auto I suppose she is very rare now but she still has a couple of jobs needing doing to be a minter!
  20. Unfortunately only for the Sunday, I actually caught a fella taking pictures of my car in a car park this Sunday! He started talking to me when I came back and asking if I show my car and if he could buy herπŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚. He was genuinely upset when I told him no to both and he lectured me about it being a classic carπŸ™„. I told him she's just a daily and I love driving her as much as I can, I thought he was going to have a coronary!
  21. Not me, I've never taken her to a show before. I generally just drive her as a daily!
  22. That's the same day as Volksfest Wales, what's the bets I don't even see one in Brecon 😀
  23. It has been YEARS since I saw another Corrado, where are you all? There used to be loads in Swansea. I'm going to Volksfest Wales in Brecon this year just to prove to myself that there are others out there is anyone else on here going to be there? πŸ˜€
  24. Me either until I noticed the trim was loose!
