L 595 (Think) C** VR6 Corrado, either black or purple (It were too dark) in the pissing rain in Newcastle today on the A189 over the tyne (About 6pm) sneaking down the inside to avoid the queue.....naughty! Any Takers!! I was in My Furby so didn't wave or owt!

Yep It was Birch's BIG DUB twin VR6 Turbo thing that went pop! On a feature for PVW I believe! It threw a conrod, popped the Engine casing and spewed oil and flames everywhere!!!! Well if you turbo a VR and the only mod you do is a Thicker Head gasket you deserve all you get!

That one on your link looks canny! Although does look like he's had the engine bay steam cleaned as it is just too clean! Make sure it ain't knackered anything!!

It's Just a MK2 Golf, so just the normal things! If you can find one with PAS thats a bonus as they are damn heavy at standstill, not so bad on the move! PAS can be retrofitted though, they do use oil, but not huge amounts! Only ever see them in White or Red too! Mine put out a cloud of smoke on start up but once running it was not smokey at all! Make sure the clocks etc are working 'cos it is nigh on impossible to find another set! The glowplugs are quite slow in comparrison to modern diesels, My vRS can be fired up as soon as you turn the key but the GTD needed about 15-20sec from cold before the lights went out! Manual choke aswell, just remember to push it in or you'll use loads of fuel (Made that mistake) Check the 'box too as I believe these are exclusive to the GTD and it might be difficult to source another! Also check it has the undertray that fits underneath the engine bay! Good if it has as they are about £300 from VAG! Mostly quietens the clatter from the motor but also keeps sh*te out of the engine bay! Can't think of owt else! Good luck with your search though!

Only just seen this thread, sorry for not posting sooner! Hardest Thing about a GTD is finding one for decent money! There are a few on the Trader website but tend to go for a Grand or More!!!! Crazy prices! :shock: They can do high mileages no probs, mine had 180K on the clock when I sold it! Pulled well, would cruise great at 70-80mph, bit noisy if you pushed it! You can turn them into a GTI lookalike dead easy too! Just add some alloys and lower it! A guy on Briskoda did this to mine: Anything else you wanna know just ask???

Just stick a Banana up his exhaust! What a To55er! I'd sell my gran to have a Rado at 19! I had to make do with a MK2 GTI, still not bad for a 19yo I spose!

I Love My Yellow C! Just that Nugget Yellow is a Tw*t for fading! Worse than tornado Pink I think! It does suit the car, not many cars look good in yellow but the C pulls it off well! Has to have the rubbing strips left black though, just to break up the colour, Black or Anthracite wheels look good to! They are pretty rare too, think the only time I see another Yellow C is at a VW show!!!

Dark Blue Corrado, just going past catterick turn off northbound on A1 this morning about 9.50am???? You were towing a trailer! Had some phat alloys on too :) Didn't flash 'cos was in my vRS!

You can sought of tell by the badges too, 170Bhp models have a "red" 5 as in V5 But as with all badges owners can change them!
