  1. 944's seem to fairly cheap to maintain.....for a porka! It even has the same side repeaters as the Corrado!, Weird Gearbox/Axle set-up like, it's where the diff should be, right in the middle of the back wheels! If you fancy one, make sure it's had a clutch, Bloke I was speaking to 2nite, has got a reciept (from a UK Porsche Main Dealer) for a clutch replacement, £350 for the clutch and £3725 in Labour to fit it     eeeeK!
  2. oops, forgot the link, Heere it is: http://atsearch.autotrader.co.uk/www/ca ... ull=SEARCH Nice wheels too :)
  3. Just been on the 'trader website pipe dreaming......... What do you think??? http://atsearch.autotrader.co.uk/www/ca ... ull=SEARCH (The white one at 4.995 e-Plate) Pity it's white :(
  4. Porka 944 Turbo????? Or a 968 Club Sport? The Club Sport was voted one of the best handling cars in the world!
  5. Just been to the cruise in Darlo, Got talking to a guy with a Porka 944 Turbo, Blagged a go 8) .............Whoaaaaa Momma! Only paid a grand more than I paid for my C! Mmmmmmmmm now can you get yellow ones??? Steve
  6. Are They Pissed???? I would have thought maybe £6.5K to £7K Max?????? Steve
  7. Green C waiting in Traffic just opposite the VeeDub Garage in 'Boro this afternoon about 5pm????? I flashed my lights and you waved back......... Anyone claiming????? Steve
  8. Unmarked Scooby??????? That ain't playing fair :( Although think Humberside Plod have 2 x Ex Colin McCrae Prodrive preped WRC Scoobs as traffic cars..............with the turbo restrictors removed!!!!!
  9. Have had and indicated 140Mph in my Valver!!!!!! had the needle almost into the red in 5th  Still it's probably only about 126mph if you knck off 10% for speedo error................. Steve BTW This speed was attained on a private road with safety supervision, your honour!
  10. Now Then, Fookin' £7000! Is he Pissed?????????? Went to see the exact same one, in School Aycliffe I Believe, Does it have a bizarre wooden tonneau cover thing?? Tried selling it for them at Inters, but no bites, to expensive then (£4500 they wanted then) and still to expensive now! One wnet on ebay a few months back for less than £2K and it were just as nice! Cannot see how they can justify that price, at the end of the day, it's only worth what someone will pay for it and about £2K to £2.5K is about what it would make! Steve
  11. I have had both! My old Golf was a valver, then converted it to 2litre ABF motor out of a Seat Ibiza! Went like stink then, fitted coilovers to it and ARB's, but it still didn't handle as` well as my C! Cannot believe that they have the same suspension compoinents.....the corrado is just in a different league! Also the equipment levels......My C and my golf were/are both '90 models, but my C has Electric "one touch" windows, leccy tilt/slide sunroof, PAS, electric heated mirrors, active spoiler, total closure and sexy leather seats......my Golf had electric windows and PAS! No competion really.... Ditch the hatch (Common as mook) and go for the C.....you won't regret it! :D Steve
  12. Matt! That looks Fookin' Wicked! Bugger now you really are lower than me!!!!!!! You gonna be at Harrogate next month with it??? Steve

  18. Strange init, that now Nugget Yellow Ones are Fairly rare (Think VW only produced 500 in that colour) and are quite sought after.......... Didn't Top Gear Also do a Comparrison Test Between 4 coupes, there was the C, The Honda Prelude, Filthy Calibra and summat else......Think the C came out tops!!! Steve

All Traffic cops must have a calibration certificate for the speedo in their car, done on every shift, If they have no video evidence or police Pilot (Times you between 2 fixed points and gives you your av speed) then this is what they will use! No Calibration certificate.....No speeding Fine! Are you sure they were Traffic??? Didn't think Traffic used wanky cars such as mundanos as undercover cars! I was pulled on the M1 near Sheffield a Few years back on the way to Inters, Unmarked Omega, Had a Camera in it, thought they all do????? CID use shitty cars, sure it wasn't them and they were trying to put the shits up you???? Steve
  23. My valver will pull an idicated 135mph! So would not call it slow! Beat an FTO the other day :) As everyone else has said, a C is much heavier than a Golf and so will feel slower, but it handles sooooooo much better and is so better specced thay it's not worth the comparrison! Don't get another Golf, you will only regret it ;) Steve
