  1. Looks a good project:cool: Just a small note for you, as it looks like a proper late spec car, the U.S bumper is an early style one. No biggie though. You can fit the later (Flush) style fogs/indicators to it if you wanted to.
  2. No balancing required, Only time balancing could come into it was if the displacer was heavily damaged, but then I wouldn't risk any repairs anyway. Try Matt at Only Charged Dubs. http://onlychargeddubs.co.uk/ Neil.
  3. Yep, the little tabs tend to break off, well normally just one of them meaning the covers sit kind of offset/not quite right. Luckily got two good ones on mine but I'd be interested in some spares just in case! Neil.
  4. One for me in the next batch if possible please mate. If you want to pop me a pm whenever you're ready? Neil.
  5. I cheat with air ride:camp: Obviously couldn't drive it like that, so I tended to run at this sort of height just pottering about locally. And in all honesty it drove a little crap, was definitely a better drive when it was maybe 30mm higher than this at least. Whoring the pics as I do miss driving it. :-( :brickwall:
  6. Damn, that's a shame mate...It's a good looking motor though, looks like a late style with an early grill/possible early headlights? Stick at it, it will be worth it, oh and just be aware of the slight differences with the 1H rallye setup. Different head bolts etc.
  7. Aye, good work mate. Good to see it saved and it will be worth it once it's up and running.:thumbleft:
  8. Aye, the megajolt will certainly help mate. And regards the jetting and whatnot, it's a case of suck it and see (Excuse the pun) you can always run a small drill bit through the butterflys to help with tickover if need be. Be good to see this, as I don't think there are enough N/A carbed Corrado's (My fave setup):thumbleft:
  9. Nice project, Red has always been one of my fave colours for the Corrado, looks good and should sound well when up and running again. People only have issues with webers when they have worn/tired spindles etc, otherwise they shouldn't ever need constant adjustment or tweaking. Cost wise though it's a fair point, they can be pricey! Problem with bike carbs is the harsh throttle (Hard to get a good tickover etc) but as a weekend toy who cares:cool:
  10. Considering taking offers on the Corrado :-( But in the meantime I've started a Corrado G60 Register, check it out at: http://www.corradog60.com :thumbleft:
  11. Showing difference between front bumpers specifically, and also front fogs/indicators/grill/bonnet etc. http://www.corradog60.com/viewtopic.php?t=47 Buyers guide covering more differences. http://www.corradog60.com/page/vw-corrado-g60-buyers-guide Neil.
  12. Payment received thanks Stewart. I shall keep you updated via PM regards postage etc. Neil.
  13. SOLD As I'm now planning to rebuild the Mk1 and the Corrado is garaged I won't be fitting this :( It's a g-werks stainless manifold with lambda boss etc. £160 quid inc UK Delivery. It's used (Not by me). These were something like £380 quid when new I think?
  14. Hello all, Well although the Corrado is off the road I came across a New/Genuine Power steering pump and promptly bought it! Long obsolete and specific to the G60, I've been searching for one for ages! 037 145 157BX That is all :-( Neil.
  15. Yep, I have the same ones on mine. Good guys at VwSpares too.
  16. Ah yes, I almost forgot that the oem lights were nearly all Amber up top anyway, It's with having owned a modified one for too long!
  17. Of course...Clicky here. In all honesty the Corrado rear lights aren't the easiest to apply our product to, but a good finish can be had with heat/patience/cleanliness during fitting. Painting will give more options for final finish colour too but feel free to request any samples to have a play with/look at. Bare in mind that our new Amber light protection is really only designed to go over a clear lens so it would be interesting to see it on the rear of a Corrado...I'm not sure it will work myself but you never know.:bonk: Neil.
  18. EDIT: Whoops! I didn't realise there was a second page. Beaten to it by Seanl:thumbleft: Hi Stone, reverse lights aren't part of a UK MOT. I'm not suggesting our product would be suitable for this at all by the way, it may well not be. Samples can be had to have a more informed idea of that... But the painted method can give superb results if protection isn't being considered. :thumbleft: EDIT2!: Give it a shot, it does look really good with half orange/red imo! Neil.
  19. Only if it reduces light intensity or changes it's output colour. (Yellow light output at the front is still legal though btw.) :thumbleft: We get asked about this a lot at work, it doesn't help when people fit a sign writing graphics vinyl over their lights! :suprised: Or fit silly red/blue sidelight bulbs etc. We are actually glad of the new regulations to stop people doing dangerous things like that. A lot of the club rallying guys we supply have to have their cars MOT'd and there's never been a problem. If light output isn't sufficient then the car should rightly fail whether there's a product fitted or not. Anyway...lol. All Amber wouldn't look right imo, half and half. Yes. Almost OEM/OEM+. Neil.
  20. We have had some great Feedback on the new mobile site. You can add yours at: https://www.facebook.com/questions/10151223416132706/ And users/viewers of the Mobile site should now see a 'Feedback' link top right of the main page (Once clicked 'Enter') where you can leave comments about it. Neil.
  21. Glad to hear it Jamie! Feedback is always appreciated and put to use. Neil.
  22. Well I've been in this situation, but the other way around. Although I had good reason! A lad in an old shape vectra was proper on my arse, in a low gear etc obviously wanting to provoke on the motorway as I was taking my 3 yr old boy for an operation. He overtook and then pulled away a bit and sat in the inside lane, I went past him soon after and just thought 'Pillock' while shaking my head at him. But he booted it right up my ar$e again and just wouldn't go away! Fortunately for me (Not for him) we both pulled off at the same junction up to a roundabout. I got out and started throwing some pretty angry words about my son being in the car, taking him to hospital and the fact that I was not looking for a 'race' or anything. He looked pretty shocked while leaning back away from the window. Didn't say a word! and I just got back in the car. I was stressed enough at the time with the situation and other things...Didn't need to be dealing with idiots. If I saw him again...I wouldn't give him any grief. What's done is done, water under the bridge. If I spoke to him I'd certainly tell him what an idiot he was I suppose...But not in such an angry manner. I'd just be on the cautious lookout for a short while, but I'm sure he will let it go once time has passed.
  23. Went up to my unit earlier as I needed some tools to work on the house...Thought I'd fire the Corrado up just to hear it. Forgot my button for the leccy shutter door! Gutted!
  24. OK guys, testing has just been completed on a mobile version of the Corrado Forum specific page!:smug::thumbleft: Simply visit the same link on your mobile device and you should be presented with a nice and easy mobile version: http://www.lamin-x.co.uk/shop/shop_corrado.php Same scenario as far as the Password and discount code: (PM me for Password, some will already know it) and then you can access products and the discount code (Same as the password) Feedback on the mobile site would also be appreciated (Just click 'Main' up top once on the mobile site if you fancy a look around. We just want to be the best! Neil.
