  1. If it's running, and running well then it's worth anywhere up to £800 quid just for the engine/box/supercharger/ECU etc. That's without considering the bodywork, panels, trim and whatnot as the lads above suggest :thumbleft: Well worth a butchers, they're relatively easy to work on and you can find most bits secondhand, just the odd few that are becoming scarce now. Good luck! It would be nice to see it saved! Neil.
  2. Thanks guys, may look at getting it back on the road when the sun comes back... Just need to tweak a few things as usual lol. Neil.
  3. I've felt the same about the Corrado since I had kids...That was 8 years ago, and I still have it! Although it's sat in the garage LOL., and I really could do with the money... But I've resigned myself to never parting with it now, after having put so much into it like yourself. This is definitely part the reason that convinced me too...So many people seem to regret it afterwards if they sell! Either way, good luck! Neil.
  4. Dibs! Don't really want to sign up with the panjo thing. PM sent.:thumbleft:
  5. 10 Year Anniversary of owning this thing! :thumbleft: Where the hell has the time gone!? :bonk:
  6. I hope there isn't a new one too, VWUK seem to suggest there won't be, at least for now anyway? http://www.corradog60.com/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=264
  7. It never does :thumbleft: After a smaller pulley/chip/cam/fmic etc it's probably time to actually make use of the boost via better flow, head work and whatnot. Aim for a lesser boost reading which equals better breathing ;)
  8. Yeah, no probs. The indicators are late style ones :thumbleft: The late style fogs are in a plastic housing that holds the indicators.
  9. Just FYI, those are early fogs, not late ones.:thumbleft:
  10. Ah sh!t mate, sorry to hear that.:( Depending on the state of the end of the crank (And assuming you haven't any valve/piston/bore damage), you could possibly look at having it 'Pinned' / 'Pinning it'. But then again, I don't think a PG block/complete lump are a fortune these days. Hope you can manage to sort it as easily as possible.
  11. Smaller inlet/outlet on the G60 FMIC too, but that's down to preference really.
  12. Ah yep, that confirms it as a Golf G60 Intercooler. Cheers mate.:thumbleft:
  13. Hi mate, can you confirm the part number? As it possibly looks like a Golf G60 intercooler rather than a Rallye one?
  14. Lol, sorry mate I have just thought of the worst case scenario that's all. It's hard to tell if there's anything amiss by looking at the pics, but it's pretty obvious that the crank bolt has probably never been replaced. They can tend to fatigue/snap/become loose causing timing issues and much worse. I'd advise that you have the bolt replaced for peace of mind either way. (Available from Vw and an easy job for a mechanic with the right tools/torque setting) There could still be an issue here that isn't showing up, but ideally you'd need the car running, as one thing to look for is a 'wobble' on the pulley. What you can do while the car is not running is to line up all of the timing marks which may put your mind at rest as far as a possible pulley/crank bolt issue. (Although it doesn't completely rule it out) If all seems OK there, then it may be worth looking at something like the hall sender/dizzy as popping on deceleration would tend to be timing/ignition related on a G60. See pics for timing marks, line up by turning your crank.

    Black 1993 Onwards G60

It was 1992 that they changed to the later shell/panels etc etc.:thumbleft:
  16. Cheers lads, and yep, it is indeed my daily Tigerfish. >> http://www.corradog60.com/viewtopic.php?t=306 IS200 Sport Aero, superb motor that has probably slightly ruined my Corrado love in all honesty! Although it's to be expected with being a newer motor, but the build quality is fantastic.
  17. Dragged it out of the unit today and ran it for a while. Felt a bit 'Meh' about it tbh. It's the absolute worst it's ever looked, properly filthy and has gone a bit moldy inside!

Bumper differences just for future reference:thumbleft: http://www.corradog60.com/viewtopic.php?f=13&t=47
  19. Had two bikes stolen last Saturday night. My Specialized HardRock, and my Dads Vintage Raleigh Volant. Unbelievably, we saw some scumbag riding my Dads when we went driving about looking for them...Chased the bast**d and he dropped the bike and ran... Mine is still AWOL. God help anybody I see riding it. It's a pretty rare colour scheme with some distinguishing features, so if anybody around Burnley sees it, please do let me know. Posted all over facebook etc already.
  20. Do you have two sensors with spade terminals on the side of the cylinder head? It's a long time since I played with a valver engine, but if I remember rightly one of them is for the ECU, and one for the ISV. You can swap the spade terminals around on them and then attempt starting to see if this makes a difference. They won't normally start if the ECU sensor is knackered/wiring to it is damaged. Have had that happen in the past. Neil.
  21. I've never really understood these...It's a product that becomes damaged itself! :bonk:Doesn't seem a good investment to me. There are proven Motorsport products out there that don't get pitted/crack, and also don't look horrid on the car!
  22. Door handle plug for the central locking etc:thumbleft:
  23. Props for the work mate, great stuff.:thumbleft:
