That is a nice project, with great History. Love those Recaro seats π I'll PM you a link to this steering wheel, see what you think
-
If it was meant to be, then the right car will turn up. As the German ebay, I have tried to buy a few items, actually a steering wheel being the latest item. It seems that no-one really wants to ship to England. I know we had Brexit but I'm sure the border wall isnt too high. People manage to get across the water!!! I have a guy looking into shipping but it seems impossible. Is it really that difficult? Or is there a better way to get my Corrado present? What we need is a reputable 3rd party in Germany to help ππ€£

Never heard of that. Certainly not mentioned in a 95 sales brochure that I have.
-
Ronan, can I PM you some question about the German ebay please ? Cressa

What the heck is that up by the Sunroof?? π³ Nice bit of a project though. Let us know what it is like in the flesh

Bit of rust treatment. But I have pulled out some degraded sponge..
-
Can do. No idea who to use or what it would cost though. Suggestions....
-
Cheers Dox, Mine are clipped up to this point . It made me wonder if something should be at the beginning of this box section as I removed some sort of worn material....
-
Not a Corrado, but this picture shows fuel lines going in on the right. I dont want to fully block the area in case it holds water
-
Probably an easy one for someone.... I have been under my car today and noticed halfway under the car, the 3 fuel lines disappear into a tunnel, something is missing Vr6 It looks as though It had some old perished sponge in there to stop them from vibrating/wearing on the chassis. What should protect them at this point please anyone . I love a picture to explain things to me π€

I have two Toyo 205 50 15 tyres for sale. Never been used. I had purchased these ready for my speedline refurb, but aren't needed. Zoom in on the pics for the actual details. Or just have one as a cheap spare replacement EACH Β£25 Happy to hold onto them until a journey past J31 M1

I got 25mm x 8mm black Stainless washers, they look like it should work. Text me your address Shaun and I will post you a couple π

Finally fitted a stainless washer to the ARB drop link. Hopefully if it ever fails it can not spin round and rip my CV boot, again. I love preventative maintenance .Top tip Just need to do the other side sometime

So what are your plans with it Dox?

Chopped up update. I was hoping NOT to have to sit the front flush, but it then sits too far out towards the wiper stalk So now it has to sit flush to gain the extra space I have had to cut an extra slat out. Which has spoilt my chance of keeping a cut down version of the directional flaps, oh well. I could always just stick bits in. I will give it a temporary fixing for tonight and see what its angles are like for later.
-
It would fit lovely height wise, but effects both spaces. I have no where else to put them unfortunately.
-
π good thought. I'm sure if it needs extra I can look at that. If I can get this to fit then that will be an easy one. π cheers

Now I have always followed any cup holder ideas and have decided to have a go at something. Fitting a VW single pop out cup holder into the drivers air vent. I had this in my garage from a previous car from years ago, so i sat in the corrado wondering if it could fit anywhere. I have bought a spare vent to cut up and have a go. Nothing ventured, nothing gained so watch this space... Or has it been tried before/failed and I haven't noticed that thread. Pros: it might workπ€ Cons: closeish to the wiper stalk Vent wont work fully, oh well ....π² Got to do something in between the euro matches Tell me your thoughts

So, where to start ... You need some really crucial parts from a donor car, most importantly βͺThe Diavia heater box and fan assembly. Inside this is an Evaporator that is obsolete. I fitted a later VW one in mine but the pipes needed re-welding. βͺAll of the wiring and relays including the 2 dashboard switches.(Although mk3 golf can be made to fit and look better. βͺThe brackets for the condensor which fits on the front of the radiator. New Condensor is just over Β£100. βͺThe bracket for the receiver drier which fixes on the above. New drier is universal and a hella one is around Β£30. The hoses...... really needed to have as a pattern to be re-made as they will need replacing if you want reliability. Anything from Β£170-Β£540.... I do have a new spare set if you needed these. The cheaper ones βͺThe aircon compressor which is a Sanden make, but you will need the brackets to fit it to the engine and the longer aircon belt. It may be a wider belt and if so the pulleys on your alternator etc. Will need changing. Honestly..... certainly is do-able as a challenge but would not be cheap ££££ Let us know if a company would do it, though I am sure they would not want to touch such a 2nd hand project. I think it is a great idea, so roll up your sleeves and get the spanners out. It isnt impossible, just a challenge And has been done by others, so... Plenty of help and advice on here π

Okay, so looking at Bentley Black and Blue wires move a motor. And reversing polarity makes it go back. Both mirrors work doing that π There is continuity through the wires to both heating element wires What is the mirror magnetic clutch? Brown cable and white cable. When I put voltage their it clicks and reversing polarity it clicks. Unfortunately I dont have a door card off to put it to the switch

Got them over 3 years ago and were working then. I shall rig a 12v supply up and test them today π
