Sounds like a sensible diagnosis. Especially with it making no difference when unplugged.. Get it plugged in if you can. Do you know anyone with a good working MAF that you could swop with to be 100% sure

Looks better with the carpet going all the way under the seats IMO. Car is looking great π

Hi Chris, the work you are doing with al the parts is great. Unfortunately for the UK, VW did not give us Aircon on our Right hand drive cars.

What is facebook? π€£π€£ I am staying a simpleton

ππ never thought about that. Next time I can, I may just go into the garage and use the sunroof
-
That is an amazing miracle. Well done in putting the time and effort into doing this. I hope it is a busy time for you now. Shane the forum isn't as busy. If anyone has a dodgy sunroof, we know where to send them π They look excellent

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/363311856757 A great addition to your VR6 car ππ Ok, I am bored

π± I can't believe I paid this much for 2 pieces of plastic.... but way cheaper than a replacement foglight. From r+d but advertised as for a facelift phase 2 version I would email them first to check, if you go down this route
-
I have the Heritage clear headlight covers and would definitely recommend them. You dont notice them, easy to remove and cheaper than the stress of sourcing a replacement headlight glass. I will put a picture up today. I also have the clear hella foglight covers which I got from Ebay. I will check who from. A good tight fit, no cutting needed.

I'll be there. Poorly leg permitting π I'm not on Instagram, so could you post a screenshot of yoursπ

45 N/M Just had a reply from Vibra-Technics, this is their specs for the front mount. Hopefully may help someone else one day too Or, Have you done differently? Bentley state 60N/M top and 55N/M for a standard mount bolt.
-
Anyone know the torque spec for these nuts? As there is nothing with this info. Been searching but the amount of threads is blowing my mind and not found anything definite
-
Present turned up today. New VT front mount from C&R Enterprises Nottm and arrived next day, so highly recommended. VAG950M fast road mount so check out the picture as I was expecting it to be grey. Quality lump though Unfortunately I cant fit it for a while as I have had a slight accident with a circular saw and my thigh π«π« guess which came off worse !! 21 stitches later. Atleast I can look at it on a shelf.

What's wrong with your diavia aircon? Put up a new thread if you need some help with itπ

Question. The rear right engine mount has a pronged tab on the top. I fitted this in the same direction as the one I took out, in towards the engine mount. It looked as though the tab fitted to the engine mount between a notch. And checking against Bentley that looks correct, but... Is it???? As the one I took out had scratched the top of the mount bracket. Was this the reason i had a slight vibration in the cabin. Or will the same happen.. This is sending me mad, bloody car

How good does she look.. Looks great. Try not to miss her too much. And take an ignition lead with you when you've parked her up..

Just what we really do need. ππ

Shame you aren't anywhere near me at Sheffield. I wont be using my passat diesel estate for a few weeks, you could happily borrow it if you could fetch it π
-
Only ever had one done years ago at Vw, but believe loads of key people able to do them now
-
Nice to see you back. It may be a car misfortune, but you get to drive your C more. Lucky you
-
Well I ended up with a Meyle gearbox end and a QH Quinton Hazell rear right. To be fair the QH seems quality. Just fitted them and there is less movement. Just need to get the front purchased. I did ring JMR today to see if he still had some of the uprated ones he used to supply, but unfortunately not. And not worth production unless doing a minimum of 10... so I will bite the bullet and get the vibratechnics one
