  1. If you need one I have a spare from a 1.6 driver-looks exactly the same and it works-Iknow cos I've just had to do this on the wifies Golf GTi. Which had eactly the same problem as your car.
  2. Opened the side door on the garage, looked at it,shook my head and cried a little,as I figure out what to do with it........
  3. Fook, that first vids a quick 'un. Sure it's not been manipulated in some way to appear faster than it is? You would NOT like to have an "off" on that road-if you don't become a greasy stain on the rock face, then you better have a parachute!
  4. Just watched. EXCELLENT! But-a G60 with a 6,200rpm limiter and it does 140mph!? :confused4:

Well done. I would love to do that! But where's the Forum sticker?
  6. JEEBUS!! Glad your okay mate.Feel kinda guilty now for not buying that S3 and going for a black one. Aaaaanywhoo,it kinda gives me an idea of the protedtion level,if anything like that were to happen to mine. PS,any spares going? :-P
  7. :?: Hell of a long way to go for one! It was sitting outside a cargo shipping compound, funnily enough. I'll have to ask around, see who the owner is.

  9. Uber 8) As it's my birthday today........
  10. Yeah,I knew that, which is why I took mine to a garage. Afterwards, they told me it had taken three mechanics,a stepladder and a crowbar just to get the gearbox off. I didn't want to hear anymore......
  11. Had a new clutch put in the Golf a couple of weeks ago. Bearing in mind that this was the original clutch coming out of a 14 year old car,I only got charged £99 for the labour-the car was in for a day and a half.
  12. The heat sheilding is held on by radial spring type washers that eventually rust away. If there is enough thread left on the pins, you can actually get a washer and screw it tight with a 10mm nut-but only if there is the thread there. Unfortunatly,I found this out after the heat shield fell off my Rado-Iexperimented with this and got it done on the Golf. 8)
  13. Oooh,I'm old enough to remember this vaguely from years back. TG was a staple diet on thursday nights and the Corrado one was one of the shows that stuck in the dim recesses of my memory for some reason-subliminal advertising eh? Good work fellas. Can't wait to see old TG again. :thumbleft: Wonder why they don't rerun episodes on UKTVgold or something.....
  14. Any remember that video that accompanied "Black hole sun" by Sound garden? With the morphing features? Thats what the first Golf reminds me of. :-P
  15. Good stuff.Congrats Mr carpoid! Hoping to go out there myself in May,so if I see a Corrado going past with UK plates I'll wave!
  16. Respect must go to the individuals who put in all that work on what is ,basically,a glorified body kit. Wonder how happy Ferrari will be when they find out that these guys have put Ferrari badges on it? :lcop:
  17. Right, after leaving the car standing in the garage for a couple of weeks,I went to it yesterday and did an oil check, which turned out to be less than favourable. There was just enough oil to cover the end of the dipstick-and that was after all the oil drained back into the sump. I took the cam cover off to check for emulsion and there was none whatsoever-there didn't appear to have been any oil there either,or at least very little anyway. So,tomorrow,I'm gonna top up the oil and see how it goes, then if the problem with the vapour still persists, would that be indicative of an oil pump failure?
  18. 4stud you hero. :notworthy: I want that exhaust on the Polish Corrado! Anyone got anymore? :multi:
  19. BWAhahahahaha,ahahahaha .......no.
  20. To get off my fat lazy butt and go and do something with my Corrado. It's been sat in the garage now for over two weeks and I haven't gone near it. Since buying the S3,I've neglected it a little so,please help and give me encouragement to go and do something with it. Cash and cheques are not neccessary, but would be grealty appreciated :-P
  21. Just got fed up with the Corrado being in the garage the whole time and the Golf's getting on a bit,so I bought this cheap little runabout. Better pics coming soon. :D
  22. The wifie's in Rugby atmo on a work course-phoned me tonight and said she'd seen a black Corrado,J***VOC,heading up the A46 towards Rugby. Any of you lot? Also saw some loon in an S3 racing a BMW Z3 around a roundabout near the Tesco-the S3 was in the lead.
  23. Well that's wierd. I'm with Riley on this one-my G60 won't start or run with the bts disconnected......
  24. Is yours Bordeaux pearl? If so,then this is what the lights will look like.
