I raised the front end of my car by about 12mm. I counted the threads left showing at the bottom of the strut to match up both sides, but now the car is sitting high on the near side. I had presumed that it would sit level if I matched the thread count. I need some advice on what to do next please.

Sounds like a handy hack. I told my mechanic 2 weeks ago to borrow the correct tool and his life will be made easier. No idea if he took the advice, probably not!

New tooling would cost them a fortune so they opted for the quick cash grab i guess. If it was priced at £25 it would be a fair deal.

To any die cast collectors or model kit builders out there, in case you're not aware. Revell have re released the Corrado1/24 kit as a 35th year anniversary. I was hyped when I heard the news but It soon turned sour with poor reviews and a £45+ price tag. They've used the old tooling and the parts suffer from pitting, scratches, poor detail and flashing, the only update being the decals. It's disappointing but I decided to buy 2 Tamiya car kits with the money instead. There is no photos or info other than they should be dropping any time now. Good luck in finding one though, between the hoarders the resellers and the shop lifters you will have more luck finding Lord Lucan.

Sign up for Parcel2go and it will give you many options, cheaper than going direct to the carriers. The 1 meter parcel size is great for light but larger items. I used to use Interparcel but switched when I found P2G's better prices and options. The 80% deal is a winner and a no brainer, I didn't cotton on for a long time and just listed things as and when. Sill really, I hate to to imagine how much I lost in charges.

I'd not heard of them until a package from AVS was dropped by them. I will give anyone a try now to avoid the PO Mafia!

Thanks Matt, I was going to add the link to help others, but you beat me to it 👍 I did the research last night and found the Passat number, after double checking (20 times) I bought 2 sets from classic parts. I should have waited and spent the evening doing something fun 😆 I've settled for Meyle as little else is available. Autodoc had higher priced brands that I don't recognise, plus there's no time left to take risks. AVS were cheaper over Heritage by a tenner so they got the business. Thank you to all, your input has helped me navigate this nightmare!

I've had 3 parcels lost (800 sent) which were down to porch pirates or dishonest buyers. Insurance covers any issue that happen. The larger items I sell would have to go through parcel force which stops me being competitive. It has been a life saver really, especially not having to go to the PO and getting a knock back for being 1 mm over. Evri is the cheapest when booking through parcel2go with yodel a close second. It's the 1 meter box size that is winner, it may work when selecting Evri too, will test later.

I stopped using the PO because of their parcel size restrictions, I've been using Yodel through the Parcel2go website. You are able to send packages that are less than 1 meter in size at no extra cost. As long as you pay the correct weight. 1kg is £2.70 2kg is £3.70. Really handy for bulkier items. Drop the parcel at the nearest Collection Point shop and that's it. My drop off is 600m trip and is open till 11pm.

Topran and Febi etc and anything else with China stamped on it. On purchase of my car I decided to replace many little bits that I thought would improve overall reliability. Leads, filters, temp sensors thermostat etc etc. I made sure that I bought quality stuff. I do remember though having to settle for some mid range rear wheel bearings as the car was due to go into the garage. Everything I bought has worked perfectly for 5 years. The only failure is the wheel bearings, after 3k one side has play in it that won't tighten out, the other side is noisy, according to the mot tester that is.

Me neither, I was torn between the type of fixing fla mentioned, or I thought it may be part of an light bulb holder, possibly from the fog lamps I unboxed. In all fairness, it did not feel like an automotive part to me, but it's good to be sure. It's quite a fun game actually, I should make it a permanent fixture. I've accumulated a tin full unknown fixings from my various Corrado parts purchases, or found lose inside the cars.
