  1. Parts are definitely getting scarce now, even bread and butter service parts. I bought my latest Corrado 5 years ago, there was a good selection of service and drive train parts still available from the likes of GSF and Euro Parts, even down to brake pedal rubbers. Looking through AVS recently I noticed a fair amount of parts delisted too.
  2. I think Wullie wins the Internet Cookie. I was checking through boxes of Corrado parts, but later that night I knocked over a tub full of old Yale locks. Congrats! You do make sense as that's the type of fitting I was thinking it may be. Thank's all.
  3. I can help with these if you still need them John. I have 2 complete early door speaker covers if needed. Drop us a pm. Sorry, I don't mean to derail your thread Kit, I just didn't want to go straight to a pm for transparency. Thanks!
  4. it's steel with a copper coating.
  5. To be, or not to be off a Corrado? Don't you just hate it when you find something under your car........
  6. I do know a competent garage that agreed to do them a while ago, even after my incessant scare mongering, it's just pays to have that kind of mech onboard. Treat him kindly! I'm based a little north of Coventry in sunny Bedworth. I've bought Lemforder from AVS which has always given me a great service. https://www.vwspares.co.uk/product_info.php?products_id=2678 My bushes were given advisory at 119k so judging by others, it seems mine have done pretty well.
  7. 2 hours is an impressive turn around, shame I don't live near these guys. Thanks for all your input guys, by the sounds of it all, it's not as bad as I thought it was. It's time to grow some balls and grab the bullet! I'm curious on the life span of said bushes, can you guys remember what mileage you where at when they began to show signs of wear?
  8. Hi fendervg I've done the sensible thing and bought OE, Going by the axle bush replacement guide in the Wiki section (and other comments online), it's a real ball banger and should only be done with the correct vag 3111 tool. I'm just left under the impression that without the corrects tool and die the bushes can easy be chewed up when fitting. I was just hoping to find some one in the area with previous experience with them. Just to clarify, did he remove the axle completely from the car, or just let it swing in situ? Thank you for the reply
  9. I'm looking for garage to replace my rear axle bushes. If anyone has had theirs done or knows of a place that will undertake the work, please let me know. Hopefully midlands based. Thanks.

    Rear Bumper

*edit* The answer to my query has been found.
  11. That's great, thanks. I will check with you tomorrow on other bits I may need.
  12. I'm not in any hurry at all and I may want to get some other parts as well. Is collection in person possible please? I could grab a bumper and (anything else I decide on) If you wanted a deposit to secure the rad just PM your paypal and I will send over £20 tomorrow day time. Thanks.
  13. That's a fair price being a complete unit, so i will definitely buy that off you. I didn't think about size, weight and distance when I posted. I'm in Coventry, where about's are you?
  14. How much are you looking for the rad mate? I think I might take the rear bumpers also, or at least one of them.
  15. I had a PM from this individual for BBS centre caps
  16. I don't suppose the radiator is in a usable condition?
  17. Thank you, that might help things along. And yes, it is a G60 with 2x2 pin.
  18. I'm in Coventry. I took the drive up to Retford because the chap was an ex employee of JMR and very knowledgeable with Corrado's. The garage who tried to connect with VCDS has agreed to another attempt next week. I guess I'll just have to wait and see if they are serious or just blowing me off. Thank you for your help Dox.
  19. Sorry I am inexperienced with a multimeter. The meter was set to DC and the lcd showed 00.0 m V I could only get a reading at the very slowest speed of wheel turn, as soon as I span the wheel any faster than crawl speed the voltage would drop to zero. Those reading were the highest I witnessed. I.e the offside flashed as high as 38.0 and the near side as high as 06.0 I tested each side 5 times doing the same wheel speed to make sure I got the correct results. Tempest RS was a garage in Retford that has closed down. I did mange to speak with him briefly but he is no longer in the industry sadly. Thank you Dox
  20. Both near side sensors are reading a max of 6 volts Both offside sensors are reading a max of 38 volts Thoughts please Dox?
  21. Thank you, I will give it a try tomorrow.
  22. A garage tried VCDS and could not connect. However, Tempest RS used it on the ABS system 3 years ago and it read ABS faults. (now closed down) Each sensor reads 1150 Ohms which is correct . The voltage on the pins that feed the senors are reading just under 5 volts. I'm not sure if the ABS system runs at 5v or 12v. I don't suppose you would be able to confirm on this Dox? Or if anyone else can confirm this by doing a quick voltage test on their sensor feed. I would help me at least clear up that query. Thank you Dox and all.
  23. I've jacked the car up and spun all four wheels. Either rear wheel will trigger the light when I manually spin the wheels. I really don't think that both sides can have a sensor or ring problem. Has anyone got an idea why both rears would trigger please?
  24. I've cleaned the rings but no joy Is the voltage to the sensors meant to be running at 5 volts or should I have 12 volts? I tested between the positive terminal of the sensor feed and to the battery neutral and still got 5 volts. Thank you guys.
  25. My ABS light comes on when I hit 5 mph. I thought this meant a broken sensor, I've tested all four and they have the correct resistance reading, and there is voltage of 5v at each connection point. Any ideas where to look next please?
