  1. Its an off the shelf chip from sns a stage 5 one, bought it from big dazzer at g-werks. One thing i forgot to mention, i just put it together and ran it i havent pissed about with the CO pot or anything like that does this need to be done and if so how do i do it?? ta
  2. Its also gnoe through a bit of oil, the valve stems seals were re-newed and the charger is re-built and is still being run in the exhaust is really sooty. Disconeected the probe and took it for a burl, seemed to be a bit more responsive and it idled higher at about 1100 but it was still smokin when i got home, any more thoughts.
  3. Will it not have to be connected in order for there to be a signal? How do i connect up my voltmeter in this case. I also noticed its totally fine when i start the car and for a couple of mins after, then it starts getting a bit smokey. Sound like lambda probe to anyone?? ta

  5. Right ive spent 4 months re-building and converting my 16v to G60 its all done and runs quite well im actually quite supprised about it. Anyway i noticed today wen i came back from a wee run, nothing over 4k for 250 miles eh daz, and i noticed there was some smoke from the back when i was pulling away and stuff. I got home and gave it a couple of revs, it appears to be grey almost, not blue so its no oil and it doesnt smell like burn oil. I also noticed the exhaust is well sooty, any ideas i seem to remember a buggered lambda probe will give these symptoms or am i talking crap?? Cheers Ross

  9. Yep but you'll find that etka is a bit like that, if you notice there is 2 radiators in the picture, the smaller one nearer the bottom is the 16v one the one with the u-bend piece(19) is the G60 one Basicly, part no.s you want are: 535 121 647 535 121 687

  11. This is in your personal opinion of course otherwise people may be offended eh. In my opinion i rekon there super cool handling advantage or not LOL...that remark is like 8 months old now! And I stand by it 8) And yes, it was just my opinion. I've nothing against wide wheels on Corrados but when they extend beyond the arches it kind of ruins the look....in my opinion :wink: And also - in my opinion - I feel if people can't handle a bit of negative criticism about their choice of mods, then they should just leave the car standard. Nah man its fine, negative criticism makes the world go round.........slowly

  13. Nope the rad's are different, the 16v one doesnt have the plastic bend your needing and it has the return going out the left hand side of the rad.

  15. This is true but i rekon it needs it, when you look at it from the front it looks low and generaly hard/beautiful but when you come round the side it doesnt follow the same lines. Mk 2 golf do the same but i dont think they would suit skirts
  16. Yes they sell the 90 degree bend seperatly and there is also a rubber o-ring you should get as well, if your strapped for loot then just get the o-ring but the 2 things arent expensive. If you still need the part number ill get it for you when i get home, about 2

I just got my plates in from dubmeister and im happy as larry, on a side note there is a boy up here with a mk2 golf and he had the full hog german plates with stickers on and the cops pulled him, took him to court and nailed him for £150, so i fully agree with the statement "having German plates would be borderline but the stickers may just send you over the edge..." Dont want to push it too far eh :?
  23. Thats not a lot of miles man, i sent my charger down to darren to get done and hes been a top boy about everything. Once i get the thing rolling i would really like to drive it down and get him to give it the once over but drivin to his place from scotland might no be fun. I'd say fill her up and get to G-werks loon, your car will love you for it

Its a sad day mate, these cars are just getting rarer, some silly bitch nailed into mine while i was stopped, had been for about 2 secs. luckily it was a shitty saxo she had and it was mangled, i only had a wee scrape on the bumper although she hit me hard enough to have the head unit come out of the dash!!!

Now, my H-reg Valver dd this and i was convinced it was something around that area was leaking and stuff so i went off to VW and got all the relevant gaskets and seals, changed pretty much everything in the area. Turned the car on and it was still leaking oil, turned out it was coming from the top of one of the senders ontop of the filter housing, big white one i think it was. Hope that helps
