Any links daz, i just had a looky and couldnt find it, any tips on how to fit one??
-
You dont need to take the dash out its just not that hard to do it with the dash in at all, scrapes on your knuckles but they are cool, show the bird, she'll be impressed
-
ON both your cars, what kind of suspension do you have? Both standard???
-
Some by you are loon, forum morale is at an all time high. As for your juice issues mate im not sure if its anything to worry about if you cant see anything leaking, out of interest do you have a boost return kit fitted. On cold start the car will be operating with more juice than the norm, with the boost return kit fitted the excess vapour and crap will get 'breathed' to your catch tank, i dont have a filter on the end of my catch tank so all the reek comes out and the damn thing is aimed right at the hole beside the ecu where all the cabin air comes from, im almost out of it by the time it warms up and stops reeking

waht model was that for ? cheers Mark Car was a 1.8 16v but its now operating G60 power with no issues at all, if your havin that much of an issue gettin the right stuff just give them a buzz, top bunch of boys (and girls) at GSF
-
Isnt that the actual sump your on about here?? As far as i know all 4 cylinder VW's have the same sump so just get a gasket, 1.8 16v. Infact i bet if you look on the GSF site, at the actual part no's of the 1.8 16v gasket and the G60 one its the same number

Piece of piss, 2 bolts top and bottom, the earth connection and the positive feed, all really easy to see. Once its out you will need a jack to jack the engine and box up a bit as it drops when you take the bolts out. Not too tricky tho

How much are we talkin for a full system, or do they have a website???

I just bought both pumps from GSF i just bought in tank pump and main fuel pump both were correct ones and worked sweet. I tried to find my receipt and invoice but i appear to have mislaid them

Aye the theory is golden, ive got all that figured i was just wondering whi it took almost 2000rpm for it to move off 9psi, as the boost is created from engine speed surely the boost should rise with the revs but it doesnt, its completely still???
-
Right ive been running my car as a G60 for about 4 months now and im fully lovin it, carefully run in big daz stage 4 unit with a 68mm pulley and all the stuff, boost return kit and all. Im a bit puzzled about how the boost guage goes, if im driving along at about 3000rpm and i floor it it will wind all the way up to about 9psi and it will sit there till about 4500rpm then it will climb up a bit finally hitting about 14psi by the time its time to swap cogs. Is this correct for what im running, the actual belt is the shorter one for the smaller pulley but i can twist it about half a turn and when i was putting the tensioner on i managed it by hand. My theory is i think the belt is slippin with all the uber notes its creatin, is it possible?? Cheers guys

A fair assumption there nugget, nothing like a bit of mechanical sympathy eh

Cool wheels min ken!!! -
In reference to my post about my flip out screen, i was told i would need to give the head unit its own power supply from the battery and give it its own earths, how thick does the wire for the power(battery to head unit) have to be and will it need a fuse, the stereo fuse is 20A will this be the rating of the one i need to use. Cheers guys

Couple of spares, rock on you struan you complete legend. Yet again you rekon im ripping chunks but im not, i only made that statement about the badges because i walked into speccy cars with the part number and they had one.....in stock, so i figured that a small VW dealer in the north of scotland to have one of these badges in stock, they couldnt be that rare but hell, struan you are the ultimate........ timmy We salute you Slim is funny -
