  1. been there a few times I am in Largs about 30 miles from you on the coast good luck with the cable cheers paul
  2. My uncle (who previously owned my C) had a corrado originally then got the need for a porsche 944 but rapped it after 2 weeks then went for a 4X4 Calibra Turbo and it didn't match up to the Corrado at all. After that he went back for another C until recently taking the plunge on a TT. Just a thought cheers Paul
  3. Not so difficult to fit. I am a relative novice. I took the cover off of the top of the engine as it is routed inderneath. One thing the guy at star performance did suggest was that u spray some WD40 on the gromit that goes through the bulk head just to loosen it up. THis way you can push it through from the engine side and it just pops in with no problems. I tried to get the gromit in without WD first and it was a nightmare so it is a top tip!!! What a difference!!! It just wants to rev away and seems more resposive probably because you do not have to mash the accelerator to get it to move. Much more of a pleasure to drive. Cheers Paul PS where abouts in Glasgow are you.
  4. Too Hot What place is it you were talking about??

  12. Thats fair enough if your going to be doing 150mph to work!!!
  13. meant to say geometry is done now
  14. always check mine when cold!! have been running 34 and still have the middle of the fronts wearing down first. Geometry is wet now. Was way off. Will see what happens though would have thought either side of the tyre would have worn first due to geometry. cheers paul
  15. i thought V rated took them up to 149mph so in theory no standard C should need more than that.
  16. Just a question. What pressures does everyone use in their vr6? On my door frame it recommends 36psi at the front (for half load)!!!!!!!. I have always just put 34 in as i thought it was a bit high but after checking with my usual tyre man i am told that they have been over inflated and the middle has worn out of my p6000's before the outsides. I am inclined to agree with him as it is very close to the guide mark. Does anyone run 36psi in the front and if so how does it affect wear. By the way 2 new p6000s getting fitting this afternoon. cheers paul

Any coments on pirelli dragos. been quoted £180 for two fronts fitted for my speedlines. Is this steep?? cheers Paul
  20. I have a question which needs a quick answer. I am getting 4 wheel digital alignment done at Star Performance on Sat and I am close to needing new tyres on the front of the C. Will me changing the tyres very shortly make a difference to whatever work is being done at Star i.e. would i be best to get the new tyres fitted before the alignment?? Am i just being silly?? Help Paul
  21. do like multi spokes but i think the plain, classic five spokes would look the treat. just a different opinion. cheers paul
  22. Surely changing plugs every 5K means you are only using half their life. What is the benefit from it? cheers Paul
  23. if optimax makes 10bhp difference does that mean i should have been sitting around the 200bhp mark at star had i used it instead of regular unleaded!!!!! cheers paul brodie
  24. cheers much. will just keep my ears open then! Engine sounds fine and goes great. Has full VW service except last one and was bought from uncle 2 months ago. cheers paul
