  1. Constant Tension clips - much better that worm drive of Jubilee's for water and fuel pipes! Tool can be got from Halfords made by Laser - peanuts on the trade card... You can also get a long reach tool as well which is pretty good according to Dinkus
  2. If the slaves never been done I would do that asap befoe it knackers the clutch - if fluid's leaking onto the friction plate you will probably need to change the clutch too now but the slave itself is an easy job.
  3. Quick acceleration but shite control and struggles with corners. I think that Ronaldo had his Ferrari custom made!
  4. VW have just started selling Quantum Platinum oil which is a 5W 40 and replaces Synta Gold and PD Diesel, cheap too at £15 for 5 Ltrs I'd give that a try as you as you know the engine seals etc are in good condition. I think Golf 16V plugs are the ones to use with a Charged VR but Kevhaywire is probably the best person to ask.

  6. Witnesses at the scene of the Ronaldo crash say he was only lightly tapped by a car from behind, when all of the sudden the car flipped over and rolled ten times. It then span around on the spot for two minutes, then all the wheels fell off and it caught fire.
  7. It's not unusual for VW's to do this when in minus temps... For now i'd either not use the handbrake or chuck a bucket of hot water over each rear wheel in the morning. When the weather improves you need to clean and regrease the calipers and handbrake mech It could also be the pads seizing onto the discs if badly worn but it's usually the mech.
  8. Hmmm - in mid summer year but not in this weather.... You might want to try turning the ignition on and off again... keep an eye on it and maybe disconnect the battery if it's still running.
  9. I think all Corrado's use the green but i'd check your existing one dude?
  10. This is because VW completely devalued the R branding by selling a load of them in November for less than the GTI - ie MKV R32's for £15-17K I've seen a few MK4's for less than £8k but that is cheap and looks tidy too!
  11. Use a large flat blade screwdriver on the none lens side and turn through 90 degrees - be careful as they are quite springy!
  12. The conrods they used must be seriously strong to break the block in half like that!!
  13. Guy, VAG now recommend using PD diesel oil for the G60 engine - just wondered what your thoughts were??
  14. No, just the slave with about 1/4 ltr fluid
  15. You've got VR clocks for some reason dude - Valvers should read up to 8k rpm
  16. What does the speedo and rev counter read up to?
  17. Deffo faulty bypass valves and maybe a leaking matrix
  18. Much easier with an eeziblled kit. You also need an 11mm flared nut spanner
  19. On manual cars fuse 14 covers the reversing lights, electric mirrors (movement) and heated washer jets + heated seats and cruise if fitted. I would look at the wiring to the reverse light switch first on the gearbox, see if thats rubbing then take both bulbs out to inspect.
  20. Check the plug to the hall sender on the dizzy as this might have got wet...
  21. Bit worrying- what brand of disk?? Sure the wheel bolts are not too long? I would get a thread restoring kit to clean the threads with (M12x1.5mm for 4 Stud) or replace the bolts New disc will be way cheaper than helicoiling - even after new bearings etc
  22. No it's not a re-map for your left hand. :camp: New Focus RS has been fitted with a front suspension hub set up called the Revo Knuckle, very interesting stuff to reduce the torque-steer that the journos hated with the original FR http://forums.focaljet.com/suspension/5 ... uckle.html
  23. G12 ++ is all you can get now dude, replaces both the above.
  24. The BBM chargers are not reliable, several people have had issues with them and they are stupidly noisey... Whatever you do make sure the intake system is thoroughly cleaned and I would also try and get a new intercooler too... also replace the oil feed to the charger along with the banjo bolts and steel O rings.
