Not heard that - I wouldn't worry, they are a proven product and enough of us are using them! They are in a different class to anything else i've tried - give Bill Brockbank at Badger5 a call to discuss, he's a big fan and will do a competitive price!
-
DS2500's will suit you fine then - work as well as OEM from cold and even better when warm so fine for road use.

VW Spares http://www.vwspares.co.uk/product_info. ... cts_id=832

Yeah, as Wales says it's not worth sticking anything other than a Bosch probe on - especially with the G60 as it's such an important sensor on the warm map. As for the Cat's though - worth a try at that price, technically they could be free as I can't see an exchange surcharge and if your near a good scrap dealer you could get £50 for your old one!

That's an absolute disgrace, I'd want mpre than a few hundred quit in compensation after than - surely it was a criminal offense mix up or not. -
... or in the drivers brake cooling duct if fitted.

Ah well done - I was just looking for it for the link... Well worth getting it done properly with that rather than using water based. Nice one - I always wanted a Oak Green 16V MK2
-
Yeah I think the screwdriver needs to be less than 1m across the flats mate... you feed it in in the middle between the plastic and the metal prongs - you really need to do both sides at the same time to release... I checked the price for leads for your car at TPS - £73 + vat so I assume the VWspares ones were cheaper...
-
Blimey mate - you sorted the leads yet? Just wondering if it's related to that issue... The pins come out with a special tool but you can use a very thin screwdriver to push the locking tabs down
-
There was 2 ltrs of proper Oak Green paint on ebay the other day!!!

His spelling is better than Corrado_Sunderlands

Its usually on 16 which is the same circuit as MFA and glovebox light but not on all cars... As above no grease externally as this with collect dirt and create a paste, WD40 is good though to stop the mech freezing and also talcum powder to stop squeeks...
-
Yep, as above the MK3 / TT matrix does not need the valves, new water hoses are cheap enough from VW etc...
-
Hmmm - I think it would flash all the time if the sensors down... I could be wrong but this may be more of a cluster issue
-
Yep, mines a late one and I know of a few K platers
-
They should have all got it but I think there were supply issues so mostly it was only the later facelift cars that got it as standard.

Most likely a knackered slave cylinder if it's never been changed... try this first!
-
Yep, one of the best specialists out there and very good mail order supplier... Steve really knows his stuff and dosn't mind spending time on the phone with people for advice etc. Re the comment above about charging for everything - most properly run (profitable) garages will do this, it's simply just good business practice!
-
Not sure of the colours off the top of my head but your looking for 2 spade connectors with a plastic insulator that sit ontop of the oil filter housing... One is pressure and one is temp, you have to open up the spade slightly if you replace these as the new ones are slightly different.

Just how expensive is this corrado to run???
Supercharged replied to Gforceuk's topic in General Car Chat
At the end of the day we are talking about a minimum 13 year old sports car... Still powerful being capable of 150mph with superb handling even by today's standards It's not going to be cheap to run but I don't think they are that bad either - fairly economical on fuel and drivetrain parts are cheap because they cross over to a golf... I know C&R had a customer that's spent that sort of cash on one but obviously that is a bit extreme! -
After 2 years away, I've just bought back my Corrado

heyhey - nice one Phil!! -
What engine do you have - if it's a G60 then the charger is tensioned with a spring / damper type arrangement - these need changing every 7 years or so....
