More likely it's been over-tightened in the past and it's pulled the thread up - only alloy remember...

Bloody dangerous on the G60... There are 3 hoses, a feed and a return on the left hand side and then a small U shaped hose on the right that feeds from the fuel rail to a pressure switch... If these hoses have never been changed I would buy all 3 from VW - around £50 Don't take any chances as it's a big fire risk on these engines!

Yep on the 16V it just drives the oil pump - so timing of this pulley does not matter

Screwfix or machinemart + anywhere else that deals in air tools like Airchannel etc...

I'm after a new stereo (CD Radio) but want something thats fully iPod compatible and also fairly future proof... - Budget is £100-£200 but closer to £100 the better - Must be a decent make - ie Sony, Pioneer or Alpine etc - Must be fully iPod compatible, ie charges and allows you to control the iPod - I have a new (4th Gen) Nano so must be compatible with this and preferably the iPhone - A front USB port would be useful but the iPod must connect at the back so I can hardwire it - Not really fussed about having a remote control or bluetooth etc Any idea's?? TIA

What car is it for - a G60? If so any G60 ecu will do, there were changes but very minor ones...

Hello, you need to take the inlet manifold off to do this or at least the upper part of it so you need new gaskets for this too and the throttle body, I would also buy new bolts too if they look corroded. Get the bits from VW to avoids getting parts that don't fit.

Yep - thats what the wipes are - good sheeeet!

Been using Rain-X for years - mainly as a solution before the Aero Wiper mod but they have now brought out a combined glass cleaner / wax which is a lot easier to apply and seems to last just as well - i.e. 2-3 weeks! http://www.halfords.com/webapp/wcs/stor ... yId_165568 It's on 3 for 2 at the moment and you get 20% off for trade, they also do a box where you get some anti fog wipes for the interior glass for a quid more which is well worth it! It really is superb stuff, I'm not getting any frost at the moment and no fog on the insides - my 5 year old Lupo wiper blades no longer judder and i've also used this on the headlight protectors, number plates and mirrors to stop dirt sticking!

Does anyone need the electric adjusters as I have a pair... One brand new and one used - hopefully make a pair if they are not sided!

Ekotec valves - lol, they are still around then!

Is that a euphemism??

^ He's got Koni's dude, this is how the problem arose - they have a wider thread, must be M11 I guess
-
Great pictures and welcome to the forum! 8) Yes, looks a bit pink in the first picture :camp: Stunning after the re-spray though, red Corrado's always look great!
-
Well done dude, horrible job to do in this weather!
-
They are an OEM part but they need to be 1mm wider with fit the Koni's, you also have to drill / dremmel the rear spring top plate too
-
Yeah they should as they come with the shocks
-
You could try as it's only 1mm I think but it's always difficult to grip something thats round your trying to drill - i've never had much luck anyhow!
-
Check fuses first - is the rear heated window working??
-
For the rears your gonna have to ring Koni I think - can't see you getting those washer things off the shelf easily...
-
The big fuse is either a 30 or 50 amp depending on weather you have air con or not... I'd unplug the aux water pump when you replace these and also check the wiring to the rad fan - you may have a short as you need some serious current to blow that large fuse! I assume the battery is good?? have you checked the red / black lead to the starter soleniod is plugged in ok - you should get 12V down this when the ignition switch is turned to the crank position. As above this is probably the ignition switch if it's never been changed? The new part is a bit more robust... (Polo 6N)

Yep, G60 pas pump is G60 specific as Yan says

Brake fluid reservoir removal / vac pipe installation
Supercharged replied to weetos's topic in Drivetrain
It fits onto the servo - I did mine by removing the 2 MC nuts and pulling forward - that way you don't disturb the fluid system...
