  1. They are a straight enough swap but you may needd to extend the mfa wires but i didn't, I do remember cutting a cable tie tho so maybe that gave me the extra needed... He will also need the later cowling to fit the bigger hazzard light switch (about £15)
  2. dazzyvr6, yep - i'm impressed with them too - very useful bit of kit!

Yeah, the only thing you normally need to do is to re-terminate the vw plugs with spade connectors - most places like halfords etc do a kit with a tool etc for not much... If you want to keep the rear speakers in the shelf supports (6by4 I think) then you find most uprated ones have bigger coils so you need to chop a bit off the plastic 'basket' that they sit in.. (easy enough)
  13. Shouldn't be to hard then - have you got the switch on top of the manual box linkage?
  14. Welcome to the forum - could also be the coil or Hall sender (part of dizzy)
  15. Yip, check the mounts before re-making the connections...
  16. Mr Sands, lol - that sounds like a 'Chavtie'
  17. Seperatly - bearings are now a mk4 golf part...
  18. Another vote for thre rainsports here - superb tyres
  19. Yandards, a good friend of yours - lol! I doubt Tim is very happy either as he still uses the TSR name as a reference in books etc...
  20. Fronts I assume? Yes you will need spring compressors, did you also get the bearing as the VR6's have a seperate mount and bearing... you should also do these in pairs. TM's are a bit of an arse really because of the labour involved and the geometry will need resetting afterwards - you should at least consider changing the shocks too unless they are newish...
