You do need the mechs also... (middle part number needs to be 839 not 837)

Guy's, I'm fairly sure it's the female readings you need to look at and once you've conformed the physical connection is ok, change the sensors... The other readings are bassically looking at the ABS ecu - no idea on the relevence of these and may just be different because of cable length... I wouldn't worry for now as both of you have dead sensors...

What socket for tightening front wheel bearing on a VR?
Supercharged replied to adamukcorrado's topic in Drivetrain
I think it's 36mm... -
Looks like you were pretty lucky! - the glass is less than £20

They are there just busy... Vince is back on the 17th...

Hmmmm.... Steve - this has been a point of discussion on here several times and I have seen both red and black caps on Corrado's but every VW dealer I have been to has said that green is the stuff to use and they only sell ATF fluid for use in Auto boxes... GSF/Euro seem to say what you have said above but I have never seen this in a manual and my friend in Audi parts says that no VW's have ever used ATF fluid for PAS as it rots the seals of the rack components - both types... Also G 004 (which replaced G 002 and is about half the price) is the only fluid listed for a Corrado on ETKA and I don't think I've ever seen an original (ie unmolested) Corrado with red fluid... Have you got any other info or documentation on this as it's something that really needs clearing up?!?

I think Henny may have a sender for sale (and probably cheaper than the £60 VW charge!)

purpley-corrado-dude, mk2 fans are the same you just change the resister pack over... I think you need to check for volts at the plug and start tracing back... -
Yep - it's in the instruction manual btw.... As above only use the green stuff which is about £4 from VAG (NOT red ATF fluid!!)
-
Nice one Phil - you may have found the new one is a different colour / number and made in germany (if the old one wasn't then I reckon you have found the problem as they are known to fail... covincharger, hall sender is part of the dizzy which is about £100 exchange from VW.

Would it be easier to get a 68mm on there?

Are you sure you've not got the ploastic version of the tool in the car? Look on the bonnet stay or jack handle... -
You need to post more i'm afraid dude! I think it changes to 'regular' when you hit the 100 mark... ABS relays are up behind the glovebox...
-
2_Door_fun, are you sure?? The should be mounted high up in a black box near the expansion tank...
-
New handles are £45 from GPC
-
wrong contents I think...
-
marcus, basically because late VR's are 20mm higher than the early ones...
-
BlackValver, you just need to measure the resistance of the sensor so no engine on and the side you want to test is male (i think) - the one running down to the sensor itself... Stick the meter on the Ohms setting and see how you get on and report your findings back here...
-
Hi, Yes very easy - especially with an Eezibleed kit... If not using a kit then you need to open the bleed nipple, press the pedal, close the nipple and pull the pedal back up by hand and repeat at least 5 times...
-
Rodders - has he deffo checked the fuses as the window ones are not in the fuse box, they are just next to it...
-
The relays are near the expansion tank on an ABS car or if not, behind the glovebox... Check the fuse then plug to fan motor first, you can then bridge the wiring to the thermoswitch on the rad and if that works it then the switch is dead....
-
Change the slave first...
-
Yep, obviously turning the key in the barrel to unlock the steering before you go anywhere!! Lippy - deffo get a new switch in there before driving it anymore!
