  2. Really good looking car. I bet its great driving something so different to everyone else over there?
  3. Finally fitted the Dave16v polished gear surround, had it for long, long time and i wish i'd done it sooner.
  4. Got a drivers side in bordeaux pearl (based in manchester but could deliver since i'm off work)
  5. Just sent the link to someone who'll be interested, thanks.
  6. 30 and had a 2.0 16v when i was 23, had the VR for three and a half happy years. I have no plans to change it.
  7. I've had about 13-15 hrs of training to pass both tests but i had a 125 for a couple of years and obviously i drive so i picked it up pretty easily. It was £50 for two hours training which i used to do (rather than full days) because i think you take more in and don't get bored and lose concentration. If you haven't done it before you have to do the CBT which is a few hours and about £100. Test fees were £15 (+40 for the bike) and £75 (+40 for the bike) but it doesn't seem too bad if you do it over a couple of months. Definitely worth it and it makes you (in my opinion) a better driver.
  8. The bike bug has bitten again so a few hours after passing my test i bought myself a 2001 zxr 400. My commute isn't very long and the roads are quite shoddy in places so i'd rather not use the VR but a stiff little sports bike (no logic, i know). Anyway, it means the car isn't doing unnecessary mileage and i can do all those niggly jobs and not have to worry about putting everything back together for monday.
  9. I'm having problems uploading photos from my laptop. 'Unable to display webpage' screen comes up but everything else is working.
  10. This has just been added to my 'to do' list, thanks :)
  11. All car insurance adverts 'save money on your car insurance' lies, lies and more lies. Wonga adverts are the stuff of nightmares. Personal injury compensation adverts 'too bone idle to work? put a claim in and rinse every other poor b***ards premuim' hate those.
  12. I spend enough time in the classroom so i took the points (after a lengthy battle).
  13. A place i used to rent was nearly that bad.
  14. Ebay is your friend (although it says black is out of stock at them moment) http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/GENUINE-ALCANTARA-PERFORATED-BLACK-BEIGE-OR-GREY-/350270750648?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item518dc37fb8 Try looking for novasuede as well.
  15. Belgium - 'a non country' :) Nice to see passion in parliament.
  16. As above, is this normal? Its been like this since the format changed and its a bit annoying so i thought i'd start a thread since i'm in a ranting mood. It's flashing now but disappears in the quick reply box. Correcting my spelling mistakes becomes a bit of a stab in the dark. Any thoughts?
  17. I'm in Nottingham. I've been to a gathering of classics and general nice cars at Papplewick i might go to that again.
  18. Not just thieves but opportunist thieves. Any excuse to extact more money eg pay extra for paying monthly, pay £25 for changing your address on a single piece of paper etc.. The likes of MARKERSTUDY are also criminal in the way they conduct their business, do feck all and lie about everything else. We need the likes of Marcellus Wallace to 'get medievil on their ass' :)
  19. Green storm on Lady Bay bridge at lights at about half four today.
  20. Working better today than earlier in the week. I'm using IE.
