Hmmm, this is why you shouldn't heavily mod standard engines:

Check out the 2 videos and the text in the 3rd message.

Its 80mm for the older ones, actually...
And yes, there are a whole host of other chin spoilers - but I fail to see the point in the UK with so many pot holes and speed bumps - they won't stay nice very long :S
I'll stick with my cheap plastic part rather than a £100 + paint bodykitted chin spoiler.
-
Yes I have done this, quoting to the parts guy the exact numbers on the first page.
Passenger side fitted and working perfectly. Have driver's side arm, and still waiting on a blade.
-
Erm, read the first page of this thread m8...
-
rx7s are rotary which produces a very unique sound!Yeah, "Milk Float" springs to mind.....
-
M8, for the 'older' generation, you are one dirty bloke!

I believe that the 'D' in 'PD' motorsport is for Darren, so I assume he doesn't sweep the floors for money.True, but I believe he does other things for money..... :D
-
Headlamp washers were - I have them on mine.
But headlamp wipers certainly weren't.
-
Eh???
I've been waiting 6 weeks for a driver's side blade - how come you got one on the spot??

The Corrado has front lit dials - so what many Americans have done is create their own white dial kits.
Just need a bit of measuring and a little design flare - put what u like on then! And stick them how u like too.
As for parts: http://corrado.atx-hosting.co.uk/viewtopic.php?t=112

You'd have to see about size... but you might need a bigger arm so a Golf arm might work out better.
But I think the blades are the same connector - just different lengths.
-
Well, the Lupo ones are, erm, 17 or 19 (can't remember which!) but then we're using a Lupo one since they're the right size (well, nearly)
However - you might be ok!
Maybe you could use a Golf or Passat drivers blade? They must be about 21 inches!
Pop along to your local VW showroom with a tape-measure... :)
-
How long is your single blade?
And does the arm connect using a 13mm nut?
If so, I'd guess so!
-
Respect, Dazzy!
Enjoy the cleaning....
I get annoyed with cleaning my 9-spokes!
-
Maybe your car has been possessed by a dead policeman?
He's trying to stop you from breaking the law.... :porc:
-
I'm afraid I can't help.... but  - that is one weird problem! I hope you can sort your gremlin! :new-alien:
-
Hehe...
# "You ain't seen n-n-nothing yet..." #
Menu's are fun.
They even say in the manual you can alter settings whilst driving along - I'd like to see you try!!!!
-
Jim, keep your hair on!
I meant Nigel waffling on about Corrado features... not a lot of use for you in a Saxo!
As for manuals, I agree... but I dare you to try and use the menu system without the manual....
-
Don't forget this is for Jim's Saxo, m8... :)
But yes, the only way to stop the immob. auto-arming is using valet mode.
Jim - it's not a big manual - why don't you just read it??? You might learn something...
-
The auto-locking of the doors can be disabled in the menus. It's a sort of anti-hijack thingy - but it can be a pain in the arse. Depends where you live though. Alot of car-jackings in Coventry?
Have fun using the menu! Hehe.
I would disable auto-arming of the alarm - just have the immobiliser to auto-arm.
Mine was wired up so when I press the headlights button on the remote - the doors lock, but the alarm doesn't come on (just the immobiliser after 30 seconds). Handy for when I'm at the gf's and the cat insists on walking under the car and setting it off.

Did you know the front wiper is quite intelligent though?
It has a variable intermittant...
Say its raining lightly.
You need to clear the windscreen, so flick the stalk down to intermittant, then back up to off. Next time you need to clear the windscreen, click down to Intermittant and leave it there.
The delay in between you clicking it down is set, and will stay like that. It can be set to anything between 2 seconds to 30ish.
Go and have a play... you know you want to!! :D

The MPG is showing the average for the trip - so if you do boot it hard after driving normally for a while - it won't affect the average much.
You could always reset the MFA (hold the slider left to '0') then keep booting it and see if you mpg drops to about 10 - mine does frequently... hehe.
The rear wiper works by pressing the wiper stalk back once, and the rear wiper is on intermittantly. Press it again, and you turn it off again.
As for the water - it squirts when you press it back - so yes, it does squrt water when you turn it on - but if you press it quick enough, none should come out.
Slightly daft design there, VW....
Just drive fast enough so you don't need to look out the rear window... works for me :)
-
Just ask about the 50mm spoiler rather than the 90mm one.
They are inter-changeable.
I'm sure GPC is cheaper than VW though... £30 for the 50mm one.
is the head gasket going??
