  1. Glad you have, because i have been trying to resist.
  2. might have been an old car phone system
  3. I find halfords satin black a nice finish for plastic parts
  4. I was thinking if the pulley etc is off then as long as the flat bit is on top that's ok?
  5. The new thing to do when its get above 30 degrees here, is showing pictures of animals in the zoo licking fruit frozen in ice. Never used to happen. As if its amazing animals will lick frozen water.
  6. Its all a plan by the elite, same as trying to get a cashless society, (am sure thats to try and combat people buying drugs/guns/sex with cash etc) They have somehow stamped out the boyracer scene amongst the young, never see an old hatchback with big wheels and loud exhausts anymore, i don't think the youth of today even change their sound system, all driving standard cars for a monthly fee instead.
  7. Something else worth mentioning with HIC, Martinb from the forum is a manager there, i usually phone them up and run through the quote with who answers it but then i ask if i can speak with Martin about the price, he is usually busy but they always come back from his den with an improved price, and they understand modifications etc, usually chuck in a free agreed valuation too.
  8. Nice video that, i think i'll build my next bottom end myself
  9. Just trying to get photos linked to thread, hoping this works 20170723_161059 by jimjon81, on Flickr
  10. Have you tried Chris Knott? Got to renew mine in a couple of weeks time
  11. The closing bits needs a backslash in it [/img]
  12. Just checking something here
  13. yes, i took great pleasure in cutting mine off and smoothing off the rear beam
  14. After a working spoiler mechanism, mine seems to have broken after all those miles. anyone got anything at a decent price?
  15. I've found Irwin bolt removers work well, especially on the end of a decent impact driver, or could try make a notch in them and try to turn them with a hammer and chisel.
  16. I live quite near Duxford, i do love seeing/hearing jet fighters flying, have to stop the car and watch. Reminds me how cool humans are.
  17. I ended up fitting mine back on with the adhesive foam tape in the end.
  18. I have a Kenu airframe (cheaper versions are available) Has worked on all my cars, the bit on the back spins round so should suit vertical or horizontal vents
  19. That's what i was think too.
  20. My reproduction roof trims are far from the quality of vw ones tbh.
  21. Can't see the pic due to photobucket being dicks. Is it the elbow? Have fixed mine in the past with a new o ring and some sealant. I use the rolson o rings. Can get a box of over 400 for less than £10. Useful to have and used them on quite a few things.
  22. I'd put it back on tbh. But fitted it three times and had a knocking so went back to standard cat and still got the knocking. Can't be bothered to change again. Think I've stretched the rubber hangers trying to remove the cat the 1st time. Considering getting a custom exhaust made in the future and would get them to fit the cat. I just need a bit of cash at the mo to pay for a sword
  23. I found it sounded a bit more like an r32. Had the adapter made to fit with my magnex system but have cut about 15mm off the end of the cat to get it to fit. So shorter than it should be. I didn't really notice much difference in performance. Maybe a little bit more responsive, but didn't really get the chance to test it properly.
