  1. I had a great weekend and so glad I camped on Friday night. Really good turnout of Corrados and nice to meet some new people from here. Gutted I couldnt do the parade lap but something around my auxiliary belt is squeeling really bad and thought it best not to, I did get a really good video from the raised area on the last corner of all the Corrados. As soon as I figure out you tube or some way of posting it I will. Big thanks to all those who voted for my car, I'm very grateful and congrats to Dave, your engine bay is a work of art!! Roll on next year!
  2. Its funny because when I talk to people at shows who come look at the Corrado always seem to think they fetch really good money, I think its us owners that talk the value down sometimes.
  3. Fueled society was great on Sunday, quite a lot turned out and some fab cars. Definately put this on the calender for next year. Topped off by a win for the Corrado!!
  4. Its just pay on the gate and park in the show I think. Nice one Chris, Hopefully see you there.
  5. Didnt know about that one but probably not.
  6. Thanks but I doubt it though as its a general show with loads of different models from vw to japanese to classics I think.
  7. Wondered if anyone from 'up north' was going to this on Sunday? Think i might have a drive over if the weather looks like it will be OK
  8. Its a start ;-) do you have a thread anywhere for it, I would love to restore a mk1 gti to original condition.
  9. nice pictures, are there anymore? Were these done for a magazine or anything? Do you have a thread for the mk1 anywhere?
  10. How many original boxed sets must there be left? cant imagine any really.
  11. Nice photo Chris, dont delay in getting the others on here.
  12. Yep, close ups definately required, have these wheels ever been split apart or are they in the original diamond cut laquered finish (which also increases the value in my opinion). Although if they are 8" wide they will have been split.
  13. Wondered if anyone from up north is going down on Friday night and if so, what time you setting off?
  14. After a classic car meet the other night, stumbled across this on the web, great comment: http://statigr.am/p/481956310247972287_178926446#/detail/481956310247972287_178926446 Also, Saturday the Corrado was in for MOT at my local VW garage, the technician had parked it out front and got a 'nice motor' from some bloke looking round a Golf GTI 35.
  15. The Porsche wheels really suit it well, I like..
  16. Today was the annual East Coast Run from Hull to Bridlington, massive turnout and well in excess of 500 classic cars, lorries and buses there. It was a really good event and came away winning the 15 years to 20 years old class. Well chuffed!!
  17. It now has "alots of paperwork" though, that's got to add value! It also has an "alarm and immobilize"
  18. Just need a rear beam now for powder coating, really sorry I haven't posed it yet. It's sat in the backgarden not in the way so keep forgetting to put it in the boot and take it to work to post. I'm offshore next week but will sort it when I'm back. Sorry again!
  19. Like kip says, it's worth what someone is willing to pay. When I set out to buy a Corrado 18 months I wanted the best I could get and would have paid up to 8k for the right car.
  20. Reached this milestone today so stopped to take a picture Also, since it was a nice night we decided to go for a drive in the C but unfortunately I'd had a few beers so had to sit in the back! Random colours of Blackberry. love this picture as it really shows the lines of the corrado and reminds me a bit of the Storm advert.
