  1. I think the saving is worth having personally so I'm keen.. I can probably arrange to collect mine from you as well..
  2. Yes please. Pm me details.
  3. Yes you would Karl, i doubt there is anyone on here who has had more sets than you.. Today… Starter Motor 2 - Michael 0 Window trims 0 - Michael 1
  4. No mate… http://www.volkswagenstickers.co.uk/index2.php?cmd=search&cat=16
  5. The wiring for the fan has been modified so is a bit different. Its sat where it is in the picture to allow access to the bolts. It will sit further down over the top of the starter. The sticker i checked against yours Chris and a few others.. I ordered the bits about the beginning of December and i got some stuff before christmas and the others today.. It is a struggle lining it all up and it will have to come off again when it gets to a garage but thats all part of the fun...
  6. I really do appreciate the feedback, thank you.. I have started with an unbelievably good car that didn't really "need" anything and that is such a good position to be in. This car will never be radically modified, it just doesn't need it.. OE parts with some improvements is the way ahead but it is a challenge, i spend hours looking for bits, part numbers and have a very good and patient parts man at my local dealers. Today i trial fitted the starter but getting the bolts to line up, well they don't so its going to need some persuasion. Here a picture of it in place, it looks nice and will look good once all the cabling is sorted and routed correctly. VW heritage came up trumps with my second arrival from them so have new 2 out of 3 scuttle trims and 1 mint used plus all clips new. Ill do this next. I also got a new radiator cover with new stickers.. Finally here are the air duct things, not perfect but with the screw holes are intact. Some scuffing but that is to be expected. Im only really putting these as I've cleaned the area directly above them and this is to offer some protection. On my old one i took them off after the drivers side was fed to the aux belt.. Ive had to saw off some of the clips, fortunately clips and screws available from the dealers and should be here tomorrow..
  7. Thanks very much gents, I'm the first to say though there are better ones out there.. Ive had a mixed day with the car today.. Cant remove the last bolt on the front mount bracket and I've tried every trick in the book so ill concede for now and when it goes in for service ill give them the bracket and new bolts and ask them to sort it, I'm hoping they can get the thing off.. On a plus side though i had another visit to the scrapyard, some vacuum connections, both side air guides (splitter bits), drivers side door trim and a load of clips = a tenner.. The scrap man was obviously feeling generous today.. The drivers side air guide was literally in the mud so i had to cut the wheel arch liner to get it off.. The joys of scrapyard visits
  8. They are indeed 205/50/15s I have heard Paisley freight mentioned before. Im happy to package them up accordingly and can arrange to be at home for them to be collected..
  9. All sorted now, thanks… Lock it up Mods please..
  10. I just had a look at it and that is superb, time warp condition...
  11. Nice one Chris.. Let me know and the moneys required to relieve you of it..
  12. Few more pictures.. Damage on the wheel…minor but enough to need sorting.. Some more of the wiring, its difficult to get decent pictures of this and i wish id taken some before id started. This linkage is connected on to the gear selector cables and when i undid the nut securing it this happened. No ideal, fortunately still available from the dealer, nice new one waiting to go on..
  13. Id like the one that has all the holes intact Chris… Which side is the good one?
  14. The wheels are coming with the chrome ones, they are nice and do look very clean in the pictures I've seen..
  15. 54 quid for one of those…ouch… Second hand it is then..
  16. Thanks for trying anyway.. Not to worry, the hunt continues...
  17. Ill probably use the existing centres although if new ones are needed then they'll end up on the shopping list.. Badges seem to be only available in carbon with silver lettering which i think will do nicely… They look nice Graeme, have you used any spacers?
  18. I don't know what they are called mate… They are just flat corner pieces.. Like these.. http://forums.thecarlounge.com/showthread.php?3752945-WTB-VR6-lower-wheel-arch-liner-pieces
  19. Its the flat ones that are attached to the splitter and arch liners.. They are normally either wrecked or missing on most Corrados..
