  1. Theres an article in this months golf+ about this and its all to do with the thickness of pads from what i can remember you need late G2 or early G3 pads, the discription tells you how to do it and exactly what you need
  2. my g60 is very unwell, couple of weeks ago it started pinking, so changed fuel filter, plugs, and checked dizzy rotor arm all ok, plug leads are new magnecor. and was still pinking so retarded the timing slightly to stop it, all seemed fine until tonite, imposible to start and when running coughing and spluttering and very little fuel pump noise, is it the pump or could it be something else. its running full blended charger, 65mm pulley, sns st5, red tops, 3.5 fpr, all very new.
  3. well maybe I should just keep it as a g60, its a yellow one so there as rare as rocking horse s**t as they are. so who is best to talk to about a rebuild, Im after somewhere in the region of 250bhp maybe even more, and the engine bay is really shabby looking.
  4. the last time i had it dyno'd it made 215bhp, and yes I could go futher with it, but its got nearly 120k on the clock and it seems to be one thing after another at the mo, so rather than get it rebuilt, 1.9 / 2ltr I thought Id go for a newer, fresher look but keep the distinctive whail of the charger.

I have a g60, and have gone as far as I can go (chip, pulley, cam, exhaust....etc) without overboring or head change and was wandering how easy it would be to put a 20v in, but I want to keep the charger, I have read up on volkspeeds rallye, but could do with more info. also mine is Rhd so alternator relocation could be a problem. Any info much appreciated.
  6. My K03 turbo is pissing oil out of both air inlet and exhaust out, any ideas? Obviously an oil seal is away somewhere. Who is the best to get it rebuild, but dont really want to upgrade just yet.
  7. Sorry to but in. I have a spare sunroof mechanisum and roof if anyone requires it, from a 91 g60.
  8. My avo coilovers have finally given up the ghost, and am after any suggestions on whats the best coilover kit at present. something low but not that hard it bounces me into the nearest field. Is it possible to just get a front set rather than the whole kit. Cheers Dan
  9. Im after something like that I have a custom made one at present, but the minute the charger is on boost for any length of time it just blows the pipe off.
  10. I had this prob a while back and at first I changed the oil pressure switch which sorted it, then a month later the same again, so changed the oil pump and its been fine ever since...
  11. Im 26 and have had my G60 since i was 21, and my insurance is still the same @ 700 FC
  12. I have Avo coilovers and have for the last 4 years, they are still in as good nick as when I bought them but the ride is stupidly hard even on the softest setting. Im thinking of changing to FK's next they seem to have a good reputation at present.
  13. Ive got a jabba stg4, 68mm & chip, fmic and isv re-route, 4 branch manifold, powerflow yorst. and it only made 180 at the flywheel, on futher investigation Im lossing boost ie apex seals in the charger are fcuked, (only 15k since its rebuild) :( so Im going to use g-werks from now on....

  15. Hi had the same on my old sierra, thought id risk it driving 200 miles nearly go there until it seized and locked the wheel. if you can simon dont risk it.......
