  1. Prime the fuel system and oil pump.... take the hex head out of the fuel rail and turn the car over... fuel will squirt out.. fire it into a pot and keep going till its fresh, that also helps to build oil pressure without it firing.
  2. I wanted OEM+ look too... I went B12 kit. ;)

  6. change the glow plugs if its a high mileage car, we had a failed one which caused starting issues...
  7. Strip it down... get it hot tanked, get the crank ground, new bearings and rods, hone and new rings, low compression pistons. That way you know its good. second hand lumps are always an unknown.
  8. The TT rack used to be an upgrade the MK4 owners wanted... quicker and fewer turns. How it differs from the R32 rack I'm not sure.
  9. Bosch MK4 just returned to Euro - original VR6 one ordered in 120amps Very understanding Euro Car Parts manager did the more expensive VR one for the same price.
  10. Its different... FFS!! 5 ribs - the VR is 6.
  11. bugga Didn't check Dox... was spending more time looking at the fitment, Euro kept the old one.

  14. Shouldn't really be a problem... Just finding the plug.. but I imagine it's standard across the MK4 range.. Sent from my ONEPLUS A3003 using Tapatalk
  15. Right just picked this up from Euro It is definitely a Bosch item, the bolt locations are exactly the same, it looks like a modern alternator but.... the plug for the ignition/switch is different, this doesn't bother me as I will simply buy one and replace the older style one.. but if people were expecting a direct drop in replacement, its not but a very simple upgrade. I'll try and get some pictures.
  16. Done! thats a bargain! 120A Bosch item after the surcharge is removed it's £130!
  17. Cheers chaps! - I'm going to give the 4mo one a blast as they have stock at euro car parts, bosch and 50% off till midnight. Now do I risk the V5 Golf Starter motor whilst its on offer too... hmmmmm
  18. I did have a look on their site Cressa... they dont seem to list parts for the Corrado anymore? or am I looking at the wrong bit? If I put my reg in all they list is wiperblades and screen wash :( Was it a Bosch item? exchange or outright?
  19. I need to order a new alternator as well as the original Bosch unit is looking pretty sorry for itself and the main bolted contact wont undo... it just spins. I cant find a Bosch replacement, the closest I can find to a premium product is Lucas... I know this is not the Lucas company of old, but has anyone had any experience with them? Eurocarparts stock them.
  20. The "about scanner" says it's OBD2... The Corrado will be OBD1.
  21. cheers Sean It's dire! I was close to cutting it and re-routing it, so I packed up for the evening and walked away from it...
  22. This is what I'm trying to sort out.. it's doing my OCD no favours I can tell you! [emoji38] Sent from my ONEPLUS A3003 using Tapatalk
