  3. On my bros VR we tightened it up at the passengers headlight and then the clip on the bonnet release handle broke so had to be replaced with a brand new cable so be careful not to over tighten it people
  4. it comes with the usb cable and its great, not too many features to baffle you but just what you need for a good sound and illuminates green to match the dash.. mine came fitted with the silver one but then sourced a black one which suits better.. you can always try mine first if you want[/quote:1klkfiww] Cheers fella Funny that you said about it illuminating green as the missus has been having a go at me for years saying my pioneer doesnt match the dash very well and looks like blackpool illuminations (as it flashes) haha also was it easy to fit ive seen a couple of the units wiring harnesses and they have a big silver box coming out of the back and with the corrado having feck all room at the back to get the stereo in?

  9. All 3 of my engine mounts are VT Road mounts (not the harsher Race ones) as recommended by Dave (D&G Autotech) they work a treat no nasty vibrations etc :D
  10. I know it's a bloter but I find once you shorten the ratio she flys off the line and I lap most of the other cars. Its crap when in comes to the corners though, great when your racing on a track with a big long straight though :D
  11. Damn unlucky mate hope you manage to get it fixed and your wallet doesnt take too much of a spanking
  12. Bloody hell it does feel like you've had it ages, you've done loads in the 8 months you've had it good work fella and congrats on the MOT pass :D
  13. I'm sure I heard that rots the rubber. Yeah ive heard that too i recommend this stuff for the door rubbers http://www.einszett.co.uk/Gummi-Pflege.php
  14. Defo not WD40 G 052 778 A2.jpg[/attachment:3ul6lcw5] G052 778 A2 Lock Lube. Note the the cap labelling "with de-icing effect". Comes with a spray tube as seen and also a lock "slot" adaptor to spray into the key slot. Its a PTFE based product which lubricates and repels water. It's tacky to the surface it's applied to. Used it for years on MK2 Sciroccos. . Just ordered some this morning from VW Stockport Price was £7.54 inc VAT, thanks for the part number
  15. Winter mode Pah if my car was so lucky, shes enjoying her first stint in the garage this winter at the moment :D, the time i dont use it through all the seasons is the day i will let someone else have her. Hardcore raddo :D

  20. I heard £1,800 quid then obviously you have to pay for labour to get it installed
  21. Im pretty sure its weather related seems like to much of a coincidence that it happens just as it goes really cold. Also if it is barrel related i thought you could give VW your key code and they would order a barrel thats the same as all the other locks ?
  22. Its not a guarantee fella usually you get oil mixing with the coolant when the head gasket has gone. Mine has had mayo on the filler cap in the past as its only 4 miles to work. Best bet is to give it a good run out and get everything up to temp nice and hot and then check your filler cap if you've still got mayo then you know you have a problem
