Yeah windscreen maybe or a classic that gets missed is the vent that draws in cold air from outside theres a seal around it. http://www.oichan.org/mods/airvent/airvent_e.htm

I wouldnt have thought they are a poor design. My vote is VT fast road mounts though as they are on mine, as Kev says stay away from polys -
If your losing coolant then its the dreaded heatermatrix, if your not then its a seal somewhere

Welcome looks like you've got a solid car there, the one touch window where they cant go down at the same time is how its supposed to be im afraid think i was told in the past that you can change the window module over to a golf one which makes the windows go down at the same time but dont quote me on that.
