Mine steams up usually at the back on the inside right ******* to remove aswell because you have to phyiscally get out the car and wipe it off.

Yeah daily driver here, the heatermatrix going in december really was the worst time for it to happen but luckily its was a pretty mild december so was able to do it in a couple of days outside the house, using a torch when it got dark. So yours is fogging up a lot because of the leak into the cabin that sounds about right, mine hardly foggs up anymore since the heatermatix change. Only bit that occasionally fogs up is the rear window but whos car doesnt

Up to you mate at least that one has a non return valve

That part number should have given you the metal one. Im suprised that the filter fitted as I was under the impression they wernt interchangeable as there are two types of plastic filter attachments one for the metal and one for plastic filter

If the metal one came out of the oil filter housing then only a metal one would fit unless for some reason tey have switched to plastic. Any pics of the plastic one (new one)?

Ron's Blackberry VR6 - A11 VRX - Getting her back on the road

The GF got some right angle screwdriver type things(shape of an allenkey but crossheads on each end) and that did the job. If you still struggle with the screw then just take the dashout -

Stereo/heater dial stuff after doing it twice last year (my car and the GF's) yeah it is probably easier taking dash out but didnt want to disturb anything so i would be left with rattles -

You can do it without removing the dash too you need to remove is the centre console and the glovebox then the whole heaterbox comes out through the passenger side undertray area -
Its easy Jim you just have to remove the plastic trim that runs along the back of the headlining that then gives you access. Cheers for the heads up with the aerial which package did you go with on the list buttles?
-
Sorry it didnt work mate, sounds like a puzzling problem good luck with it
-
Yeah itll be the slip ring behind loose somewhere
