  1. After the best part of 8 years of repairing/improving the mechanicals I am finally treating the c to a full cosmetic makeover. Didn't have too much time to get many pics but will get some more of the progress next time, I am liking the silver arrow look think I may just leave it naked :)
  2. Hey Chris I am trying to remember as the bottom end was done after turbo install. Think we were using Fuchs before this but can't remember for sure. I remember him getting this stuff as when running in the forged internals there was a lot of friction (was basically seized when cold) early on which made the oils temps quite high 110+ Now the temps are high for a different reason :)
  3. Check my sig :) 387 on the last map which was a while back
  4. Just to be different :) I am using 10w 60 Valvoline VR1 http://www.opieoils.co.uk/p-73740-valvoline-vr1-racing-10w-60-premium-synthetic-engine-oil.aspx Never had any problems with it and always seems to handle the higher temps well, was recommended by mr vince when mine was rebuilt
  5. Its definitely a turbo :) boost piping from the intercooler is what you can see
  6. Hey mate, unfortunately not as the car is in getting a respray at the moment, really missing it!
  7. X2 if its low down torque you want turbo is the way.
  8. Not sure how accurate this really is but I do like a graph :)
  9. All sorted thanks to Diarmaid
  10. Thanks for the v quick reply, That sounds perfect how much do you want for them? What sort of condition are they in? Feel free to drop me a pm if you would prefer, Thanks again Matt
  11. Car is booked in for a respray next month so I am in need of a lower bumper grille if anyone has one they no longer need or want to sell? I have either end pieces just need a middle section and towing eye covers Thanks in advance Matt
  12. Mine seems to have this exact behaviour also, on overrun from 3K there is a stutter on coming back onto throttle, I have cleaned the maf a few times but doesn't seem to make any difference. Strange that yours is inside the wing? Take it yours doesn't do it on warm up either? Yep be prepared for some loud bangs :( stone chips on boost are not fun
  13. I bet you cant wait! Make sure you go left out of Stealth also ;) Unless you need fuel that is :) Once you get used to how much it drinks its really not too bad, well worth it for the laughs anyway
  14. 2nd's on these if the sale doesn't go through for any reason. Would be good to know approx age and mileage Thanks Matt
  15. The boost controller is a handy addition and relatively cheap add on Stealth use a forge one which works well with very little spiking. Well handy for when the air temps change or you can go down the ebc if you want it in the cabin
  16. Fantastic figures mate, and glad to hear its finally on the home straight, definitely gonna have to pay uncle Vince a visit to see what magic he can perform on mine now :)
  17. Really keen to get a set of fogs/indicators also to go along with my longlife headlights :) Any news on the availability of these?
  18. Hi Yep it certainly was, I live local to Brooklands so was an easy one to get to and cracking day too. Loved the banking and somehow managed to get a slot on second row, well chuffed. Once its been repainted I will try and keep it clean for show season and get down to some more events
  19. Hi Mark Sorry for late reply lol I am good at reading other peoples threads just not my own! The wastegate that is supplied with the turbo kit is pretty generic and sourced from a company in the US it does its job well, however I think that with all the heat from the turbo and manifold over time and numerous heat cycles this causes a weakness in the rubber diaphragm inside, which eventually splits in my case leaving the gate closed and the car to over boost. It hasn't gone since however I did get a Tial diaphragm upgrade put into the housing last time I was up but the old one was still looking pretty good when it came out over a year later with good 30ish miles use each day so may have just had bad luck previously. As for the turbo kit as a whole I cannot recommend it highly enough extremely solid gets daily abuse and never misses a beat whilst being just as if not more efficient than stock in most normal situations, Now I just need to get the respray sorted and it may stand still long enough to look good too
  20. VR6matty

    Rubber splitters.

Secure it with some thick cable ties :) worked well for mine anyway holds it in place but allows much more flex across the whole splitter when it catches on bumps and humps, have had my 90mm one for a good few years and its only just starting to crack at the corners after a lot of rubbing, cant take any credit for it as I think Stealth did it on my behalf!
  21. Can I have first refusal on the passenger side indicator? Subject to pics of the crack :)
  22. Thanks Bud It will never be fully complete when I use it each day :) always needs something else the list is never ending.... And then there is the stuff that breaks or wears out in the meantime :)
  23. Hi Chris, Can you send me some Pics of the Slam panel will PM my email address over, Any ideas if you would be able to ship it also? Thanks mate
  24. Hi Looking to get some parts together, preferably in Aqua Blue, to try and finally sort the bodywork out on my VR as such I need a: Late Rear Bumper (Not sure if there is a difference) Late Front Bumper (including the lower grille, can be without splitter) Late Slam panel Thanks Matt
