  1. Cool. They have the edge over the borbet C's in my opinion.
  2. Not in any order: 16" Design 90's (8" wide) Azev A's ATS Cups (Car must be low) Speedline Integrale copies ATS Type C (see below), probably my favourtie. They are timeless.
  3. Broke down this morning due to immobiliser probs. £65 a week in fuel is kinda killing my Christmas spirit.
  4. Tom this happened to me for the first few days after I bought the car but just went away. I did notice that the water temp gauge did take a while to move but that was only after driving the silver one. I initially thought the silver one was overheating till I realised it was normal. Hope all is well.
  5. Go to http://www.clubgti.com/forum and look under the FAQ's in either chassis or styling and trim as they have the part numbers listed in there.
  6. I have always had a real soft spot for the Integrale ever since watching them on telly on the RAC in the Martini colours although the Audi do have one of the best if not thee best sounding engines of all time. An integrale with an Audi 5cyl......that would be amazing.
  7. Totally agree with above decision. I absolutely love that Honda paint. I quite like Jazz blue. I would love Nimbus grey myself.
  8. Just paint your original ones. Thats all I do.
  9. These are not too shabby in the slush/snow. Vred Sportrac's.

    Teledial alloys?

I think it may look ok with the 16's. Try getting a photoshop of that but bigger and maybe grey centres.

    BBS Caps

Well after nobody going for the chrome ones I bought the.........chrome ones. Ive just got a gut feeling they will look ok as soon as I lower it. Seem to remember a silver german turbo VR a few years ago in The Golf with BBS's and chrome caps plus all red rear lights and it looked perfect.

    BBS Caps

ebaymotors.de They have all the combinations mentioned above for about £23. I am currently waiting on postage costs.

    BBS Caps

I am looking at getting some proper BBS badges for my wheels and the choice is between chrome with light silver lettering, black with silver lettering or black with gold lettering. What are peoples opinions? I am going toward the chrome purely as I have never seen them on BBS's in the flesh and they are slightly different from OE look. However there might be too much silver. Any ideas are welcome.
  14. Yeah I did mine myself using that tint spray adn some lacquer. They dont look that great up close but I prefer tham to the FK/Inpros are they are too lexus light looking for me. Pic of them on my old car. They still flash orange.
  15. Nice!! If I was going for 16"'s it would be these or ATS 6 spokes. Are you the same Alby (grey Mk2 VR) from CGTI?
  16. They were developed for racing in the 80's. It bascially menat that teams could alter the width of thier wheels by just changing the outer rim and use the same centre. If a wheel was bent then again only the rim needed replaced. The RM's are pretty light compared to most of the other VW wheels.
  17. Major difference is LHD/RHD and 4wd equation. Similar engine (not exatly the same) but totally different car to drive I suspect. Both will put out around 165bhp but you have more transmission loss on the Rallye. Maybe 190bhp with the chip and pulley. Body parts would be equally expensive if not more for the Rallye. Rallye's are rarer than the Corrado but dont look good with the OE wheels. If you like being different and are not looking for outright performance then the Rallye is probably better. I would imagine the Corrado is an easier car to look after and in my opinion looks far better.

    Dying

Try checking that the rotor arm is not 180deg out when piston No1 is at TDC and the timing marks line up. There is a notch on the distributor to mark TDC. Turn the crank using a 19mm socket till the timing marks on the crank pulley and cam pulley line up. Also remove No1 cylinder sparkplug and put a rod through the hole onto the piston. This will check that the piston is at TDC when the marks line up. Once you have done this check that the metal end of the rotor arm is lining up with the notch on the dizzy.
  19. Not to keen on smoked as I prefer them to blend in with the cars colour.

    Dying

Did the car just turn over or even try to start? Is the coupling in exactly the same orientation as when you removed it? It only goes on one way. Did you check the plugs after trying the new one to see if they were covered in petrol?
  21. Better add me to the list then. Looking to replace the side repeaters but I dont like the white looking cheap ones however the crystal ones are a bit too bling for me.
  22. Unlucky! I was exactly the same when I wrote my bike off this year. Just sat there at the side of the road watching the bike spinning and thinking "thats the NW200 up the spout" then started laughing when the police turned up. Looks like one of those situations where 95% of the time you get away with. Bad luck but at least your body didnt loose any vital fluids. p.s. first dibs on the BBS badges
  23. Might get some of those chrome ones. BTW I have found out that you need 60deg taper bolts to fit the wheels and they need to be ~8mm longer.

    BMW E30 BBS

They sit fine. I think I have found out that the BM wheels are 60deg taper therefore you cannot use VW Bolts as the radius seat bolts.
