Window Motor - £20 Window Mech - £25 Happy to post before for £5 so a nice round £50 for both delivered to you. Have video's of both windows working smoothly. ---------- Post added at 8:44 PM ---------- Previous post was at 8:41 PM ---------- Hi Shaun, Afraid I'm un sure of this, I'm sure someone will come along and confirm. I'd be surprised if they are different but will do some investigation to see if they are. £20 the pair of those + postage (likely to be £10 due to weight) Regards, Stu ---------- Post added at 8:48 PM ---------- Previous post was at 8:44 PM ---------- Gus, Dash centre console trim has been removed and is probably one of the best i've seen condition wise. It does have the very common missing lower right heater hole tab but that's it. No nasty cracks or scratches and even has the under stereo bar in one piece. Priced @ £50, similar to an almost identical one sold on here recently. Posted for £5 also as nice and light. Pics to follow. Stu ---------- Post added at 8:51 PM ---------- Previous post was at 8:48 PM ---------- No probs, Bonnet - £50 Drivers wing - £30 Front bumper - £30 Happy to do the lot for £100 collected however. Can get pics tomorrow evening as I'm going over for a picture session. Regards, Stu

Just the slam panel which differs to accomodate radiators etc. Bonnet is in excellent condition, especially the under bonnet foam which is near perfect (never seen this before) Wings have a few marks but on the whole very solid and straight. Look very original as I don't think any of the car has had paint before. Bumper has some scuffs but again, very straight. Can provide pics of all of the above on request. Feel free to get in touch.

Quick update on this mate: Will have the full interior out Saturday so will have the parts you need then.

The paint I used, didn't smell too bad to be fair. I've left a fair amount of over spray marks on the floor where I painted them and didn't quite cover the concrete enough but other than that, all was well. The finish is extremely durable and only flaked where I've since curbed the wheels. Been perfect for this winter and with stood a number of lazy wheel wash sessions i.e. pressure wash and go.

Should have one in the coming week if anyone is interested. Drop me a pm.

I've had good results with bolt freeze sprays before, sadly I can't remember the specific brand/can I've used in the past but the results were actually astounding. Plays second fiddle to some heat but certainly a good backup option for tight places.

Got a 4 stud space saver near Bedford. Good nick, holds air etc... Let me know if interested. Regards, Stu

StueyB's £5 Parts Clearout - NOW WITH PICS OF BBS VZ's
StueyB replied to StueyB's topic in Cars for Breaking
Chris, super sorry these haven't gone out yet, in all honesty they completely slipped my mind. They will be with you by the end of the week as a matter of urgency. Regards, Stu -
In that case I'd say potentially old, brittle cable/clip. See if VW will exchange it for a different one..? I'd also say possibly too much tension on the inner cable..? I've had this happen also, made one good cable out of two broken ones. Fitted the cable and on first pull, we heard a nice snap->ping noise and guess what had broken..? This was with the cable under a large amount of pressure due to its almost too short length. Best of luck chap.

Was trying to avoid doing this but decided they must go to make space for new wheels & parts. Shocked these haven't gone before now but eBay has 'em: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/180818846453?ssPageName=STRK:MESELX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1555.l2649#ht_2696wt_1314 Happy to do deal for Corrado Forum members if any interest. Happy Bidding, Stu

Guys, having changed a fair few of these now, I've noticed that the route of the problem seems to come from the metal sprung rod sections which are fitted into the slam panel that act as locks agains the bonnet pins. Over time these weather badly and become extremely tough to move even under the force of the bonnet cable, sometimes lodged solid. When you are pulling on the bonnet release lever, this in turn pulls the internal wire and creates a scissor effect on the two rod tops in the slam panel. This then allows the bonnet pin stacks to pop the bonnet (fingers crossed). Unfortunately the weak link in this system appears to be the clip on the end of the wire which holds the outer pipe still whilst allowing the inner wire to be pulled through, without this clip however the whole system is rendered useless. In summary, my advice would be to lubricate/refurbish if not replace the metal rods in the slam panel. Having done this on a friends car, the bonnet pop with a new cable is literally effortless and I imagine how it was the car rolled off the forecourt. If you're going through bonnet cables like hot dinners then I'd recommend this course of action. The job is a tad fiddly but 100% worth the effort and you'll never have to worry whether the bonnet will or won't open again.

Quick update guys. Firstly just to clear up any confusion about "another run", this would imply the first run actually took place which unfortunately it didn't due to supplier quality issues. However I'm going to put some time aside in the coming month or so to a) track done a mint condition pair of originals & then b) find a manufacturer who can copy them perfectly, whether that be overseas or here in the UK. Based on the interest i'm thinking a batch of 100 would easily be worth running off if not 200+. If anyone has any thoughts/comments or a spare mint condition pair of screw covers they wouldn't mind donating for the sake of find a decent supplier I'd be much appreciative. Regards, Stu

Well worth doing a little strip down and pull the carpet up. From the rear passenger footwell you should be able to trace the wet patch up to the source. Failing that after the strip down, shut the car up and spray the car with the garden hose with someone inside the car. Should find the culprit weak area. ---------- Post added at 12:55 PM ---------- Previous post was at 12:55 PM ---------- Oh and my monies on door seal.

Haha, no probs. If you decide to cancel the order let me know.

Have ended up with a pair of used items spare as I've bought a brand new lower bumper grille and it came with new caps. I'll take £20 posted for the pair. Took quite a while to carefully separate these from my old grille also as I thought I wouldn't be getting new ones. Let me know if you are interested.

I had some good results with some VHT Crackle Black on some 17's: Very durable and hard wearing. Other than that you really can't beat hammerite smooth.

£10 for loom plus postage. Heading to my lockup tomorrow so will get back to you.

Pretty sure I've got one of these in my box of interior looms. Will take a look tomorrow. Big red plug on one end if I remember correct.

Have one available also, dropped you a pm.
